son the Spurs are going to be in a lot of trouble regardless. they aren't built for the playoffs. L.A., New Orleans, Portland, Utah, and Denver would all beat San Antonio in a 7 game series.

son the Spurs simply are not as good as you guys keep overrating them to be. you would think by now that fans of a franchise that has won 3 NBA championships would understand that winning games in January and February is nice, but the playoffs is what matters. The Spurs are on a nice little streak right now, but can they keep it up 3-4 months down the road? You should know by now that you don't win an award for being the hottest team in the regular season.

Duncan's legacy is already eteched in stone, while young cranky knees career seems to be going the Oden route.

Honestly, the only team in the NBA that could possibly beat us in a 7 game series right now, is the Boston Celtics, IMHO.

There are a bunch of teams that could beat us in a 7 game series. Boston, L.A., Miami, maybe Orlando, Chicago.

Portland, though? :lmao Not one of them.

The Portland Trailblazers have been a matchup nightmare for the Suns over the last couple of years. In last year's playoffs, they took Game 1 from us and things were starting to look pretty scary.

But the thing about the Blazers is that they are always short-handed, and as a result, they have to rely on fewer guys to contribute night in and night out. Unlike the Suns of last year, or the Spurs of this year, they don't have many players who can take over games.

As good as Aldridge is this year, he won't be able to single-handedly win 4 games for his team against this Spurs team. So even though they're a matchup nightmare, the Spurs will still take this series. No more than 6 games.

Spurs would beat Portland in 5..Pop didn't even attempt to form a strategy against Aldridge, he had George Hill and Tony Parker guarding him for a large portion of the game, most of his points came from open jump shots, alley oops, putbacks..Aldridge is the only standout weapon they have, it wouldn't be too difficult to make others beat them, since the rest of the Blazers team isn't too good at the moment..

The Spurs also played with very little energy, and were running puzzling sets on offense, particularly p&rs with McDyess..

I would rather play:

1- Phoenix
2- Portland
3- Memphis

I don't want to play the Gasol-Randolph frontcourt in the playoffs..
