I think most people with their heads screwed on straight could tell that this was an acting job by Manu, but here is the play for the benefit of anyone still holding dearly to the possibility that Amare is a thug who tried to hurt our favorite Argentinian.

Manu is great at drawing fouls/calls, but he's got to be careful about creating a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" reputation.

Worst flop attempt ever.

I agree here, Manu REALLY overreacted on that one. He's gotta stop doing that shit!

I don't really see anything.
With Amare's strenght and athletiscm his momentum could have had Ginobili like that.

Ok I'll admit Ginobili flopped.
j/k

Ya, that was just frustration on Manu's part. Even my hero ain't always perfect. I don't blame Amare on this at all. Still, Manu tries everything...ya gotta love him for it.

Pretty weak concession with all the shit you talked in the other thread, E20.

But I'll let it slide this time. ;)

He did it because he thought it would fire up Duncan. :lol

Yep. I love Manu but that was just a bad flop.

Consider this if Ginobili flopped wouldn't Amare realize it?
I mean come on Amare nearly got off on Ginobili because of a flop? His whole team was circling him not to do anything stupid.
And the way Manu got up and stood there for 10 seconds and walked up to half court isn't what he does when he flops. When he flops he gets back and fixes his hair whether the foul was called or not.

He has to tone his flops down. This one was damm obvious.

:depressed Can you delete the snappies in about an hour? I don't want other fans getting "proof" that my man acts, sometimes? :lol

I honestly thought Manu didn't overact on that play. I need to go back and rewind. :lol

Lol did you hear when one of the announcers said, "Not even a Hollywood stuntman could take a fall that well." I almost fell out of my chair laughing

Straight up flop. I hate to say it because I love Manu.

But it was a bad play by him. It probably cost us the charge on Stoudemire against TP on the other end.

careful with the acting comments, especially if Kori is gone. they will get you temporarily banned. it already happened to me earlier tonight.

You got banned because you said someone should kill Manu.

it was worth a shot. if he would have been more subtle, maybe they would have called it. like when amare pushed horry in a previous game and he fell. this flop aside, amazing game by manu tonight.

BTW,

Yes Manu exaggerated on the play.

But yes, Amare bumped him off.

i never said someone should kill him. i said he needs to get knocked the fuck out. that doesnt mean kill.

If Gino starts floppin like this, then he's going to get that reputation and it'll take away from the real fouls he might get.

what bothers me though is that this discredits all of his other awesome plays like that fingerroll

That's what I'm worried is already starting to happen. I think it's okay when Manu gets hit to exaggerate a little bit. And some flops are good (Bowen does it too) but Manu's walking a fine line of crying wolf.

how so? my opinion is just an opinion like everyone else. why do i get chastised for stating my opinion?

Manu has flopped much worse before, to say otherwise is retarded.

To me it looked like Amare did get frustrated and pushed off Manu, and my initial reaction was Manu exaggerated it, but DID get pushed.

Oh well. I don't see how its any worse than when he fell on his back without Bucker nailing that elbow in Game 3?

Is it because the team ended up losing?

1.bad camera angle
Amamre could of step on him ar elbowed him - here you can't tell

2.all is well when you have momentum on your side

That was a ridiculous flop... but so was Rob's in Phoenix and he got the T called. If you're not cheating, you're not trying.

Alright genius...Give me the lower half now. Since your all of sudden a KINESIOLOGY EXPERT. Tell us oh great video man...what is Amare doing with his right leg as he steps back? What is happening to his right hip-which Manu is connected. You can say Manu tried to accentuate the hit. I'll agree. But since you're all of sudden happy with your frame-by-frame...can you show us the whole picture. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LOWER HALF.

Torso moves forward, stepback...hip-check....guy gets tossed.
You need a comparison?
http://www.judoinfo.com/images/animations/blue/ogoshi.htm
Where does the torso go here? Forward. Where does the hip go? Back.
If Stoudamire holds on to Manu...he is flipped. Manu did half the work by just holding on. Now since he lets go...hip goes back...torso goes forward...Manu falls back. Didn't say that he didn't accentuate. I ask you.. where is the lower half video.
