Although the official word won't be given by most larger districts till after 4 a.m., (and smaller districts will follow suit) the latest weather update does not have the temp rising above freezing till after 10a.m, therefore the highways will remain closed....if schools don't open by 10 they get no money...

ergo......expect most to all districts in San Antonio to be closed today.

Book it.

Don't they just make up the money on make up days? I know that's what they really care about.

NISD had a half day scheduled today anyway for elementary and middle school kids. I wonder if the make-up day will be a half-day. It's on the schedule as President's Day.

One of the perks of my kid being in a private school- in the past, they have not had to make up the day!

The school districts are fucking retarded.

After that ice shit came down last night, and the highways were all closed, they should have closed the schools at that point.

Especially after TXDOT said they aint really doing shit til it gets above freezing.

LMAO. We northerners laugh at southerners when it comes to ice and snow.

Of course you do, just like we laugh at northerners who can't handle an occasional 90-degree day.

Right now it is sunny and beautiful as the snow is beginning to melt, and by Sunday it'll be in the low 60's and beautiful outside while y'all are still trying to unfreeze your balls. So, hahaha right back atcha. :lol

Those snow photos from San Antonio are laughable. Snow that couldn't even cover the grass surfaces and school is out.

It wasn't because of the snow it was the super-icy roads.

this.

and the fact that mexicans don't know how to drive in those conditions (just stating a fact, when it snowed in '04 in the Valley, drivers insisted on going 85-90 on exp 83)
