Aldridge deserved it more than Love. This ain't KG in Minny getting snubbed that the media is making it out to be.

Ridiculous. Aldridge is WAY MORE deserving than Love.

BS.

When was the last time someone averaged 21.5PPG, 15.5RPG with 43% from downtown? With a 30/30 game and a ridiculous DD counter?

No, he's just on the roster. Pop will decide who starts at Center...

Love is getting a lot of praise and national attention right now, so it's kind of expected that a certain crowd will shit on the guy just to go against the grain.

I don't give a shit either way, but it would be much harder to argue Aldridge over Love as opposed to Love over Aldridge.

Here's the article.....

Kevin Love selected as final All-Star

Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Kevin Love will be going to the NBA All-Star game.

The NBA's leading rebounder was added to the Western Conference roster on Friday night by Commissioner David Stern as the injury replacement for Houston center Yao Ming.

Love was arguably the biggest snub when reserves were announced Thursday night. He entered play Friday averaging 21.4 points and 15.5 rebounds, and shooting 43.9 percent from 3-point range. He has 34 straight double-doubles, but was undoubtedly hurt by his Minnesota Timberwolves' 11-37 record when West coaches voted.

West coach Gregg Popovich will determine who will start the Feb. 20 game for Yao, who is out for the season with a stress fracture in his left ankle.

He's a stat whore. They have 11 wins. LaMarcus is carrying an injury-ravaged Blazers team on his back and they're in the playoff hunt.

Aldridge absolutely DOMINATED both Love and Griffin when they played head to head as well.

He has to be a stat whore. What other options does he have? Should he defer to Corey Brewer?

Numbers don't lie.

They made the right choice.

Either player would have been a good choice.

Good god, I agree with tlong. Aldridge was more deserving - he's literally carrying his team into the playoffs. You can't just look at box scores and stat lines.

has there ever been a time when the leading rebounder in the nba hasnt made an all start team? i just wonder sometimes. love just came close to not.

Numbers don't lie.

They made the right choice.

If we're going by numbers, then Tim has no business even being in the building during the ASG. Love gets his numbers, but they translate to nothing. Aldridge has arguably less talent on his team right now than Love, and he's kept them in the playoff hunt. One could even argue for Nash or Parker ahead of Love and Aldridge. It's not just a numbers game. Stern was just making the safe pick.

Btw, Love's block and steal numbers are laughable for a big man. He's a complete non-factor on the defensive end, and isn't a game-changer offensively. I like the guy's work ethic and attitude, but no All-Star allows his team to go 9 and whatever.

zbo is more deserving than both of them.

better stats than aldridge, more wins than aldridge.

If any player ever "makes his teammates better"...then it is Tim Duncan. He still puts up decent numbers, but he doesn't have to. Other players are doing their jobs. Tim Duncan is still the leader of the team with the best record in the NBA. Numbers do not mean everything.

Tim Duncan belongs in the all star game based on leadership alone! His opponents believe he is an all star. Opposing coaches believe he is still an all star. Therefore, Duncan is an all star.

At this moment LaMarcus Aldridge is the best power forward in the league. His exclusion from the All Star game is ridiculous.

a dude who 90% of his shots are open spot up 20 footers doesn't deserve all star status..dude capitalizes off not receiving the same defensive attention as a true superstar. aldridge simply doesn't have the offensive repertoire to be a #1 guy

Neither does Love.

jjktkk

fair enough but love at least found a niche that he's VERY good at

aldridge isn't doing anything special that love isn't doing..especially not numbers wise. the main thing difference that sets them apart is love grabbing twice as many rebounds and having range all the way out to 3. dude's shooting 43% from 3 and grabbing 16 rebounds

I actually thought both of em should of got in.

What's so wrong with them both being deserving? K Love lucked out, if LA is so good he'll back up for next year
