View Full Version : No Team is Scared of the Lakers Anymore
In the past, the Lakers can intimidate and scare the rest of the teams in the NBA. Unfortunately, it's no longer the case this year.
This year's Lakers team doesn't scare anyone anymore. Teams have already cracked how to deal with their superior size. Aside from that, their age and mileage are already showing. As a result, it's gonna be a downhill ride for this team from this point on.
Don't take me wrong Laker fans, I still see your team reaching the playoffs but your pathetic record against the elite of the league cannot be dismissed.
I will be very surprised if you guys come out of the second round this coming playoffs.
It's been a good run Lakers, but the this year, it's going to be the Spurs that would come out of the West. Heck, we can coast in the RRT and still end first in the West and perhaps even the entire league. :lol:lol

pretty much. every game comes down to whether the lakers can make open jumpshots. how did the lakers do last night? they shot 14 % from 3.

they were just lucky that the others team had some players injured that's the only reason they won last year and the year before.
This season the elite teams got better and healthier and we are witnessing the results, they are just an average team even when they have everybody healthy.

even though my ass has been hurting from their recent play, the bank account continues to stack. They are shit against the spread and I'm gonna take advantage.
With that said, no one fear Staples Center anymore ....... They and the Clippers are the only teams in the league who literally play 43 home games and these guys really haven't taken advantage of their cake ass schedule and their situation.
The good thing is they went into the playoffs last year playing worse than this and held LOB over their heads ...... it can be done.
Just be healthy and I'll take my chances ........

Orlando in 2009 was actually better without the overrated Nelson. He being healthy wouldn't have made a difference whatsoever. Orlando simply had no business being in the finals that year.
Last year losing Perkins didn't help, but the Celts were in position to win game 7. You don't blow a 13 point lead in the 2nd half of a game 7 and then turn around and blame it on injuries especially when Perkin's backup did a solid job.
Mavs > Spurs once we get Melo
Spurs > 72:10 Bulls once we get a time machine.

Yup. That Alston trade was a great move because it brought them over the top vs Cleveland because the Cle guards couldn't stop him. But I think SVG fucked it up when he tried to bring Jameer back in the Finals

+1. Rushing Nelson back seemed to screw up their chemistry. Seemed SVG panicked on that move.
