Should the Lakers do 1. or 2.
1. Lakers offer Bynum, Walton, Brown for Carmelo.
2. Lakers offer Brown + trade exception from Sasha deal for Mayo.
I like both deals.

I doubt it's Mitch doing the pondering... I'm sure it's more like the GMs of Denver and Memphis are pondering what Mitch is on to think these are reasonable offers. A minimum of two additional 1sts will need to be added for them to even begin to make sense for the other team.
1. I've heard Denver is insisting on Odom + Bynum to even think about shipping Anthony to LA.
2. I'm not sure you can package a trade exception with another contracted player.

Walton is a filler and brings nothing to the table. Bynum's knees are suspect, not to mention he hasn't played a full season in 4 years. Shannon Brown is an inconsistent, above-average role player. Los Angeles isn't even on Melo's radar. This sounds like a terrible trade for Denver and it isn't an ideal trade for Melo. His number one priority isn't winning a championship. He wants to play in New York. Such a terrible, lopsided trade in favor of L.A., but I suppose this is to be expected.
Why can't L.A. fans offer something reasonable for a player of Carmelo's caliber?

Sorry I meant to say that the Lakers can take on Mayo's contract in a trade because of the trade exception.

My source tells me that the lakers are in talks with Miami. The proposed trade is lakers send brown, walton, jack nicholson, two burritos, and a dead hooker and Miami sends lebron, wade, bosh, and lil Wayne. Keep it on the dl though because my source can get in deep doo doo for releasing this information.

If LAL is stupid enough to send Bynum and Odom to LAL they have just lost the championship. Gasol will get manhandled, Anthony is a dog of defender and while the Lakers will score they will not stop anyone.
Plus Odom and Bynum bring together just as much scoring as Anthony and Bynum does it more efficiently and Bynum assuming health is more to develop a winner around than Anthony and LAL's bench will suck even more.
Kobe and Anthony would also last about two weeks with who gets the shot (boy what a soap opera that would be on who is the leader of the team and all that shit) and Gasol would sulk as he gets no touches.
DO IT MITCH!

FYI, Brown can't be traded without his permission (Bird Rights on one year contract).
