1. Because Darrell claims he's (a) some big mexican guy from some stupid Welcome 2 Dallas shitty rap video even though he's already claimed to be an Native American who's 6-4 230 lbs and pure muscle and (b) because he claims he's badass at basketball but was too scared to show his face against a bunch of scrubs like me and Findog and DPG. He claims he showed up but sat in the car and hid like a bitch and then left.

2. I guess the BUMP question is already answered.

3. I had so many trolls I didn't know what to do with them all, plus I gave them all a stupid ultrageneric password. I only gave out this last one because I thought BUMP was banned.

a fuckin URBAN PLANNER talking shit to a CPA..now that's rich. :lol of all the fucking loser liberal arts degrees..just wow. you know i really had you pegged as more of an interior design kind of guy though, tbh. while you have all sorts of fun planning things, i'll collect my 6 figure pay check and go home and enjoy life outside of work. oh and my brother doesn't do heroine.

well you got one of my degrees right because someone outright asked me in an earlier thread, but it's not what im doing with my career. i still had to take cal 1&2, stats, macro/micro, four semesters of a foreign language, insurance (fucking blew), etc, so dont get your panties in a wad about it being a loser degree. i take courses within the school of public affairs, architecture and the business school. i really like it anyhow. i build scaled models of cities and additions, and this semester i have to live with homeless people on the streets for a couple of weekends and document my fieldwork. to earn my degree, i still need a semester long paid internship provided by the school as well as a "major" senior project/thesis. i have no idea what im going to do yet for my project/thesis, so maybe you can help me out with some ideas.

yes, part of my degree is studying homeless drug addicts, especially heroin users, so i think i can tell when someone is a dopefiend. my brother isnt one.

im also being published this semester by doing a site analysis of the River Walk and how pedestrian traffic flows throughout it - with a particular emphasis on the newer additions. my research is being forwarded to grad schools like princeton.

i chose my degree because i already have my real estate license, and ive been offered several opportunites by UT alumni to work in commercial development - one area being in dallas around SMU. ive also been offered to work in industrial distribution in plano.

my other major is archaeological anthropology, and this summer im going on an archaeological dig with UT in portugal to exhume a roman fortification that was constructed over an iberian village. then im linking up with some friends and backpacking europe.

tbh, i dont know what im doing yet after school, but i have four or five options. once i figure out where im going for grad school (probably for my phd), ill be more than happy to let yall know.

my top option is nautical archaeology (scuba dive and discover/maintain shipwrecks, ports and cities) since i already have field experience, and i already work with GIS systems. im also about to start on my pilot's license, so i can do aerial surveillance. ill live and work in places like the caribbean, asia minor and europe.

right now im dating an architecture major who won the award for top student in her design class (meaning grade level) last semester and will probably win it again this semester. UT has one of the top architecture programs in the nation, so that's a pretty big deal. she wants to travel with me around the world, but we're still young, so im not making any big plans with that just yet.

so good luck with your CPA. i was offered to join the MPA program at UT when i was an economics major, but i figured it just wasnt for me. if you find it interesting and youll have fun going to work then more power to you. yeah tonight i had a good time on 6th street, so im having no problem explaining what im doing in school, and why im busting my ass so hard. cheers.

seriously, he can't do all those long term goals without making some sacrifices first.

that's why im planning to join the military for four years out of college so my grad school and phd will be paid for.
its pretty awesome because the eagle scout medal is the only civilian medal allowed to be worn on a military uniform, and i happen to be the only eagle scout out of my troop. to be an eagle scout, i had to spend two weeks living by myself in Big Bend. crazy to think i was in boy scouts since being a little tiger cub scout. my brother calls me the Last Eagle Scout :lol(great movie, btw).

honestly, i believe all people (half-chinese, native american/mexican, etc.) should have compulsory service. i should probably wait until then to get my pilot's license, though, since the air force (if i decide that route) will allow me to get it. flying those jets is going to be pretty kickass. who knows? most astronauts are eagle scouts. i could be next if i decide to go into aerospace engineering for grad school.

i was voted the south texas specialist player of the year when i played football in high school, so my physical capabilities are certainly there. im just wondering if i will be mentally able. its alright though because ill be paid thousands a month to sit on an airforce base until my 4 year term is up...then its off to get my phd (hopefully in archaeology, if not then ill do urban planning or aerospace engineering).

my girlfriend thinks i might be doing too much, but im not planning anything long term yet. she'll get whatever job she wants in architecture (she's interning with a firm that has a studio named after it at UT), and she's the great great granddaughter of Mrs. Baird, so her family (and her) are set. they have a lot of money. her dad even offered me a job, but i said no thanks, id rather travel.

i probably shouldnt be saying all this, but ive been celebrating a GREEN BAY PACKERS victory over the pussy stealers tonight, so with a brew in hand, i have no problem discussing how hard ive worked over the years.

its pretty awesome because the eagle scout medal is the only civilian medal allowed to be worn on a military uniform, and i happen to be the only eagle scout out of my troop. to be an eagle scout, i had to spend two weeks living by myself in Big Bend. crazy to think i was in boy scouts since being a little tiger cub scout. my brother calls me the Last Eagle Scout :lol(great movie, btw).

honestly, i believe all people (half-chinese, native american/mexican, etc.) should have compulsory service. i should probably wait until then to get my pilot's license, though, since the air force (if i decide that route) will allow me to get it. flying those jets is going to be pretty kickass. who knows? most astronauts are eagle scouts. i could be next if i decide to go into aerospace engineering for grad school.

i was voted the south texas specialist player of the year when i played football in high school, so my physical capabilities are certainly there. im just wondering if i will be mentally able. its alright though because ill be paid thousands a month to sit on an airforce base until my 4 year term is up...then its off to get my phd (hopefully in archaeology, if not then ill do urban planning or aerospace engineering).

my girlfriend thinks i might be doing too much, but im not planning anything long term yet. she'll get whatever job she wants in architecture (she's interning with a firm that has a studio named after it at UT), and she's the great great granddaughter of Mrs. Baird, so her family (and her) are set. they have a lot of money. her dad even offered me a job, but i said no thanks, id rather travel.

i probably shouldnt be saying all this, but ive been celebrating a GREEN BAY PACKERS victory over the pussy stealers tonight, so with a brew in hand, i have no problem discussing how hard ive worked over the years.

lol @ an urban planning major getting all high and mighty thinking he's just going to walk right into grad school for aerospace engineering. newsflash brah, there's a reason that they offer a bachelors degree in that field first. keep thinking you could make it whenever your hardest classes thus far are sophmore level macro and micro :lol

my grandpa was the personal doctor for the chimps they shot off in space...had his finger degloved by an ape. they had to chop it off.

he introduced me to several astronauts - all of which offered to write me a recommendation letter to get into an aerospace program. a shitload of people go into engineering for grad school when they did something completely different in undergrad.

being in the air force helps too.
you dont need to have prior experience in engineering - just good grades, pedigree and test scores. go big or go home.

Yes, active duty. And I'd have to know more about you before I could give you a recommendation letter, but assuming all pans out, sure. Not
sure how much weight it would hold since I'm a relatively low E-6.

You'd be going officer, right? Would you be going OTS or Academy? What kind of career field? If you're going for a flying job, you might want to look into seeing if you can pick what type of plane you fly. Jets are obviously more fun than personnel transports.

id be OTS since im earning two undergrad degrees right now. theyd have me out in 14 months, right?

honestly im looking to fly the next generation rocket spacecraft. what type of experience would i need to get that gig?

George W Bush said that my generation will be the one to land on Mars. thats a once in an eternity opportunity - taking Mars' virginity, you know? id dedicate my life to that chance, really. just between you and me, id plant the Texas flag right after the American one :lol.

that's if archaeology and urban planning dont work out for me. or maybe i can fit all of them in. who knows in this day and age...

and would it be a good idea if i cite m>s analysis to the recruiting officer? seems like a tough battle out there - sitting in a patrol vehicle (instead of flying it), scared out of your mind. maybe if i play hardball with him, you know - real talk like how m>s does it - i could be stationed where i want to be. with your help, of course.

You got me, I'm enlisted. :lol

The best thing to do would be to go online to the USAF website and see if they have a contact number for AFSPC; that might be a good starting direction. Another would be to talk to an AF recruiter about it.

Obviously, something like that would have limited slots available, so you'd need to be a shithot candidate AND get lucky. And when you're enlisting, make sure you get whatever job you want in writing, written into the contract and everything.

Officer and enlisted may share some circles, but they're two different worlds. M>S was probably talking about an enlisted guy.

Don't think you'll get to pick your base though :lol. And even if you do get a base you like, you'll move around more as an officer than enlisted... usually three years at the max.

Also, it depends on your AFSC. If you end up being some space jockey, they won't waste all the time and money they spent training you just to deploy you somewhere you can get shot at. We're not the Army. :lol

Falsifying claims is pretty much the dumbest thing you can do.

Go to a recruiter and tell him what your medical history is, and what jobs are available. There are still probably a few interesting jobs that don't require you to jump out of planes.

Going into space is probably out of the picture though.

defects can ruin dreams and lives :depressed

especially the defect known as addiction. not too long ago, a relative of mine was diagnosed as addicted, physically and mentally, which is the worst combo. he took a liking to a substance that put him at ease, but it put my family in distress. so far we've been successful in keeping him rehabilitated, and a couple of days ago he was released from rehab. he still has symptoms of addiction, so since i live near by, it's up to me to make sure he eats right and flies straight.

thats why my tenure at ST has come to an end with this post.

ST time for me is now his time, but that's okay, because i look after my family. analyzing my relative has also helped with my research, so maybe one day i can use our experience to help all those diagnosed as addicted find new lives.

ill leave this community of sports enthusiasts with a sample of my field notes documenting my relative's habit. please, have hope.

nsfw....

He probes his needle into his own biceps, holding his breath as he concentrates on finding a vein. Unable to register blood after half a dozen attempts, he jerks the syringe out of his arm, cursing.

He plunges the needle deeper into his biceps several more times, reaching almost under his armpit and changing the angle each time while wiggling the point. He tugs the skin in all directions as he repeatedly pulls back on his plunger to check for blood. Suddenly he starts jabbing violently, as if trying to spear a miniature fish in his bloodstream. Unsuccessful, he yanks the syringe out again.

He sits back and holds the syringe chamber in the window light with the needle pointing up. Air bubbles marble into the mixture of red blood and black drug in the chamber. He mutters another curse and, with several abrupt chops of his wrist, forces the air bubbles to the top of the chamber. He then slowly pushes the plunger upward until the bubbles surface one by one through the point of the needle. He licks it so as not to waste a drop.

He pokes again into the same awkwardly located biceps muscle in his armpit. After 15 more minutes of jabbing, poking, and pulling, he finally manages to register a vein and quickly flushes the drug directly into his bloodstream. He drops the used needle on the ground, and I can see visible traces of blood inside the empty syringe. I suggest that he rinse it, but he is already nodding and moaning with pleasure.

He calls me forth to whisper something in my ear, but as I lean over, he has grown silent; he has suddenly fallen into a heavy nod and does not respond.
