the color goes crazy because occurred a problem when they recorded the game... I downloaded this game and had the same problem.

Thanks for the footage. The game was not televised in Austin so I missed it.

I think it was on KBVO if I'm remembering correctly.

Gah. I didn't find it. Looked on Fox Sports Southwest since that's where most of them are.

Yeah..... Splitter has potential. None of the bigs we've had since the Admiral have been capable of playing the way Tiago did last night. You would have to be a moron to give up on him at this point.

He seems to anticipate well...also seems to slide well...good defensive qualities...

Someone should make a video of his defense against Bynum and the Lakers. In his limited minutes, I thought he did a good job defensively against them.

he has to put on more weight, he gets thrown around like a rag doll a lot.

He uses that to his advantage though. He draws a ridiculous amount of offensive fouls.

I would be concerned that adding more weight would make him less mobile. Right now he seems to have the quickness to be in the right positions defensively...

He doesn't necessarily need weight, he needs upper body strength, which shouldn't limit his quickness which is basically tied to his fundamental footwork.

Ya I think he should get his weight up to 260.

Idk, but I don't see a guy who is being manhandled very much. I didn't watch the recent Lakers game, but I heard that Splitter didn't give in to Bynum when he was trying to back Tiago down. What was Bynum's FG% with Splitter on him, anyways?

Speaking of his post game, I liked his hook, it was decent. Obviously should release higher to prevent it getting blocked, but it's leagues better than his flip layup.:p:

P.S. Thanks for the vid.

Actually I don't think he needs upper body strength. He needs a better base. I think doing more core work and lower body excercises will help him out in that regard.

He's been playing in much more physical leagues in Europe and I see toughness in his willingness to take a charge.

You could see his defense was getting to their bigs when Landry literally gave him a back-fist to knock him back and then griped to the ref that Splitter was using his forearm against him to keep him out of the paint.

why pop, why? The Pistons suck too...

I suppose Pop will not let him play when the game is close unless the matchup is not favourable to Blair, e.g. vs Bynum.

I think if we face the lakers during the playoffs Pop may end up regreting not giving confidence to Tiago in situations like this. I hope not. Come on Pop. We already got the #1 seed in the west, Play thiago to see if he can build some momentum. He's not even a "rookie".

He played a great game against the cavs (when cavs still had varejao and the team had a decent record) then get DNP'd in the subsequent game and it was against a shitty team, IIRC. Then he plays very well against the frontcourt who had just dominated the lakers big and get DNP'd against Detroit's shitty team.

Oh well. what can we do. I hope Pop knows what he's doing (building him for the future, I suppose...)
