The only question is whether this thread will be closed before it turns into a "discussion" about how many minutes he will take away from Splitter.

I saw Novak play a lot when he was with the Clippers, and I liked him. Of course, the Clippers had no system at the time, so his shots were very sporadic and didn't emanate from any type of offensive rhythm. So I think Novak is a guy who would hugely benefit from a proven system. He's a situational guy, of course, but he's very capable of playing a few minutes on a team like the Spurs.
If Pop actually uses him, the Spurs' system should be able to get him open shots from behind the arc. And the dude can certainly fill it up from there.
I think he's an excellent guy to have around in case Bonner or another spot shooter type like Neal goes down.
My theory is that a couple of 4th quarter three-balls will go a LONG way in the playoffs -- we saw it in 2003 with Jack, and in 2005 with Kerr. So if we can squeeze a few playoff threes out of Novak this year, it'll be a big bonus for us.

I think Novak might can be a more important part of the team than we're giving him credit for. He's not going to get minutes, but he's basically the king of bench warmers. When we're up 20 points and put the backups and third stringers in, sometimes they kill themselves. If Novak can come in and shoot at a high percentage then that will make us a little more comfortable pulling the starters and sending our bench end to finish games like that.

having tim/dice/blair/tiago in the post with good outside shooters isn't a bad thing to have.
He'll spread the floor and work as a stunt double for Mark Wahlberg.
