We all know TD has been asked to anchor the defense and play the imposing center role instead of manning both ends of the floor as in the past. Pop has been on record saying that TD has done a great job of what he has been asked to do this season.

Here is a stat that shows how -

TD is No.1 in the league in BLK/PF - 1.19, which shows how effective his blocking is. -

http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/blocks/sort/blockFoulRatio

He is way ahead of his competition, effectively having the only BLK/PF which is more than 1, i.e. having more blocks than fouls every game. It is a tribute to the efficacy, veteran savvy-ness and sound fundamentals of the guy. More props.

And I forgot to add that this does not include the game against the Raptors. If you add 5 blocks and 0 PFs against the Raps to the total, his BLK/PF ratio jumps to 1.25.. Even more props.

My favorite stat is that the Spurs are 31-0 when Duncan has 10 rebounds or more.

His P&R defense has clearly dropped. On the ball, he's nowhere near as good as he was even a couple years ago.

But he's still 1 of the top 5 help defenders in the league - and that's most important for this team.
