Once used while the government was hunting out the "reds" and the "pinks", the road to weeding out the less than loyal Spurs fans starts here. We must weed out these subversives whose silver and black belief isn't as strong as it should be; these "grey and browns" if you will. So let's all raise our right hands and repeat after me:

I,_____, do solemnly swear not to call for a lynch mob for Pop after every loss, not to shop Parker around the market whenever he fails to have a triple double, not to question Duncan's manhood whenever he fails to carry the entire damn team for 100 games straight, not to constantly predict playoff series sweeps based on nothing but blind faith, and to not shit my pants when the Spurs fail to carry out my lame ass prediction. Should I fail in to uphold this solemn duty and publicly proclaim that I hate the Spurs and that I'm never cheering for them again I will have the courtesy to stay the hell gone from this board.

But does this preclude being angry after the game or disappointed? Does this mean I can't curse at the television? Does this make me a 'gray and brown' - crying myself to sleep after a loss, wile hugging my '99 Championship scrapbook and the Timmy, David Robinson Sportsmen of Year SI to my chest?

Cause if not, then sure!

no. be angry, be disappointed, cry after a loss but don't desert the team. I think that is the premise behind the oath! :)

Its ok to not agree with everything your team does or to not be happy with them but you never retract your loyalty. Some people think that if you critisize your team, you are no longer a fan. That is not the case.

That's great. Consider me signed. I'll always be a Spurs fan, no matter what new and interesting way they come up with to elevate my blood pressure.
