Seriously, what the fuck was he thinking? lol :lol

Sounds like he knows more than you think! :lol

I was honestly shocked and appalled when he stole the ball, but then the three happened. And I was just like...:lmao:nope

I was at the game and just posted about this and Quinn and Neal both gave him a long look after the play - no love lost between Spurs and Wizards which is fine with me after this bush play.

What was he supposed to do...dribble it out? If it was a Spur player taking the shot I could see what you are saying, but I don' see anything wrong with him tossing up a 3 considering they were down by 20 plus.

Eh, Armstrong is a garbage player. He was drafted 12th by the Hornets a few years ago and has never lived up to any measure of the expectations of him. His draftmate, Cedric Simmons, was also picked by the Hornets (15th) and hailed as the player with far more upside.

Simmons plays in China now. Go Dongguan Leopards!

Let Armstrong eat it up. Best case, he rides the bench the rest of his career. Most likely case, hes in the same starting lineup with Simmons shortly. Go Leopards!

Nothing wrong with what Armstrong did. When you are losing you do not quit till the buzzer sounds. More players should have that attitude and not be so accepting of a loss.

bullshit. The time not to accept a loss is during the first 47.5 minutes.

I didn't have a problem with it either.

Unfortuately for Arnstrong, that's probably the best play he's ever made as a pro.

I'm sorry but thats some weak ass cool-aid. If the game was tight and he was doing everything possible to win thats one thing. But when the game is over and you're stat padding you're just juvenile.

I'm sorry but that is crap. The norm if you are up by more than two possessions with less than 24 secs to go is that you dribble out the clock and make nice with the other team while doing that. You're not really trying to play offense or guard against a steal The Spurs started the ritual and Armstrong snuck up and tapped the ball away from behind, then chucked up a 3 at the buzzer as the Spurs stood and stared in disbelief. It was a total bush league play. I think if a Spur tried that he'd probably be suspended. Or waived.

Exactly. By the opinion of some you should never stop trying to make a come back, even when down by 28 with 13 seconds to go. Theres still time! If that held true then there would be no such thing as garbage time. Instead of playing Quinn and Novak for 20 minutes a piece we should have kept Parker and Duncan in to the run the lead up to 80 JUST TO BE SURE.

Not every team is the Oklahoma Sooners football team that runs up a 77-0 score against Texas A&M just because they feel like it. Thats bullshit and unsportsmanlike. And what Hilton did was exactly the same.

Was it stupid? Sure. Does it bother me at all? Not in the least. I would care more if a player from a winning team did that, not so much by a player on a losing team. That is just me though.

Don't have a problem with someone doing that when his team is down. JR Smith was jacking up threes when his team was up by 30 because he was trying for some record. That's some bush-league shit.
