1. Believe Pop was just resting Manu when he put him on the bench as he only played a few minutes.

2. There are an incredible number of devoted Spurs fans in the DC area there were at least 2000 Spurs jerseys (most for Manu) and many roars when the Spurs scored (which was often as the game was basically a joke past 10 minutes or so). In the section I was in at least half the fans were routing for the Spurs and even those that were not were incredibly classly about the Spurs except for one jerk who ragged my son for cheering for the Spurs and yelled that the Heat were destined to "win the next 7 championships" - lots of luck with that prediction IMO.

3. Novak surprised me - he played very hard on both sides of the ball and despite his reputation as a non defender hussled all time and got his relatively long arms up a lot and actually seemigly bothered several of the Wiz bigs including the incredilbly athletic (but limited basketball IQ - too bad as this guy can jump to touch the top of the back board seemingly) Blatche and JaVale McKee with his reach and grit. Although he missed a few shots - Novak played well and at least one memorable shot he made was an incredibly difficult fall back jumper over a Wizard defender. For a 13th man is at least serviceable IMO.

4. Neal is one tough guy - he got pushed around some inside by Blatche and pushed him right back and like Hill also plays like he has a chip on his shoulder. Blair who had a very effective game, also does not look as short as I remembered, a lot of NBA announcers say he is in the 6-4 - 6-5 range but from my viewpoints he was within 3-4 inches of the Wizards bigs and Duncan in height and his arm reach makes up for a lot of the difference.

5. At the end of the game I walked right down to near courtside from seats a little higher up and the "famous" Hilton Armstrong made a semi bush leauge play stealing the ball with 3.9 seconds as Quinn was just dribbling out the clock.,

He almost knocking over Quinn and then quickly shot and hit a meaningless 3 and acted like it meant a lot to the Wiz. Quinn just stared back at Armstong but after the buzzer, Neal walked over and said yelled something to in the direction of the Wizard bench quickly; and I believe there is now no love lost between Spurs and Wizards.

6. Bonner could not seemingly miss (despite his unusual shooting style) - one semi drunk guy near me bet me a beer Bonner would miss his next three - then he canned three in a row - I was surprised he actually paid up and that beer tasted very good! Thanks for having my back Red Rocket!

I did hear a lot of people cheer after the spurs scored. Thought it was just me.

Novak was good this game. I'd like to see him against a team that actually gives a fuck though. Might be a keeper considering his shooting ability, but I still stand that hes gone in 10-20 days.
