Just shooting some shots. Nothing to see there.

Nets are shooting 33% and are right there in the game.
Spurs are really playing bad. That is horrible that they are in the game. Fail by the Spurs.
It looks more to me my they see they can beat them "easily" and are too "soft" on some plays...
See the end of the quarter, when they make a push, the Nets can't respond...

Some post-game quotes.
Ginobili scores 22 as NBA-best Spurs roll (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2011021417)
By Tom Canavan
The annual rodeo road trip is turning into a laugher for the San Antonio Spurs, and leaving no doubt who's the NBA's best team heading into the All-Star break.
Manu Ginobili scored 10 of his 22 points in a game-breaking, second-half run and the Spurs put in another dominant performance with a 102-85 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Monday night.
The victory in the penultimate game of the nine-game road trip (6-2) was the second straight rout for the Spurs and gave them nine wins in 11 games and 17 in 20.
"They're feeling a few bumps and bruises, but they're character guys," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said of the lengthy trip that started in Portland and which will end in Chicago on Thursday. "They're professionals, and they know what's expected of them. They know where they want to be at the end of the year and they're working towards that. So no game can be left without trying to get better."
That's been the story for Spurs since the start of the season. Their 46-9 record is tops in the NBA and the best 55-game mark since the Avery Johnson-coached Dallas Mavericks had the same mark in 2006-07 en route to a franchise-best, 67-win season.
"We just have to stay focused, that's going to be the main thing for us," said point guard Tony Parker, who had 13 points, six rebounds and seven assists. "Focus on defense, we have a lot of room for improvement. Even if I think we're on the right track, I think we can do a lot of stuff better and we just have to stay motivated because we have to get all those wins and make sure we take advantage of our good start."
Putting the Wizards and Nets away early in the past two games has allowed Popovich to rest Tim Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. Duncan, who had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Parker did not play in the fourth quarter, and Ginobili iced the game in his brief four-minute stint.
"I was kind of shocked, not that we won or we played well, but that at the kind of effort and hustle in the third and fourth quarter," Ginobili said. "We played hard and rotated very well, went hard to the rebounds so it was a very complete second half for us."
Brook Lopez had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Nets, who never led in the final roughly 30 minutes.
Travis Outlaw also had 11 points and Devin Harris and Jordan Farmar added 10 apiece for the Nets, who were held to 35 percent shooting from the field.
If the game did anything for the Nets, it certainly gave them a glimpse of how a good team should play.
"They've been doing it for years," Harris said. "They've been playing together for years. They know one another extremely well. They are battle tested. What makes them so impressive is they don't really care who scores. They move the ball and whoever gets the open shot, so be it. That's what makes them so good."
The Spurs never trailed after Duncan returned to the court early in the second period with the Nets ahead 34-31. A basket by Quinton Ross pushed the New Jersey lead to 36-31 with 9:08 to play in the half.
After that Duncan, Parker and Ginobili took over, helping San Antonio close the half with a 28-12 spurt that gave it a 59-48 lead.
Duncan hit two baskets inside early in the run, with the second on a pick and roll with Parker putting the Spurs ahead for good at 37-36.
Parker had six points in the quarter, the last three coming on a back-breaking three-point play after he drove through the Nets' defense seconds after Sasha Vujacic hit a 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds left in the quarter. George Hill also had six points in the spurt.
"It's kind of deflating at halftime, knowing you have up a play that really changed the complexion of the half," Harris said.
New Jersey made a run late in the third quarter, drawing within 72-66 on a rebound follow by Lopez with 1:47 to play.
Former Net Richard Jefferson then set up 3-pointers by Gary Neal and Hill around two free throws by Ginobili for an 80-66 lead after three quarters.
Ginobili scored the first eight points of the final quarter for the Spurs, hitting two long 3-pointers to help open a 88-68 lead that had the coaches clearing the benches.
"This is a terrific team we played," said Johnson, who is trying to rebuild the Nets, who had the NBA's worst record last season. "They have the best record in the league for a reason. They don't beat themselves. They're pros. They go about their business and they're very methodical in their approach."
NOTES: The Spurs are 34-3 when scoring 100 or more points and 38-0 when outshooting their opponents from the field this season. ...Nets rookie Derrick Favors picked up four fouls in eight minutes in the first half. ...Outlaw showed what kind of night it was for the Nets, missing a wide open dunk attempt in the third quarter. ...San Antonio outrebounded New Jersey 50-39 and outscored them 40-28 in the paint.

I had an Argentina jersey... only way to get Manu's attention from the crowd... he eventually recognized me, and we took a picture with him and the wife... I couldn't see the telecast, but if you see them walking out of the court at the end of the game, I had a high five with Manu too...

Thanks... the wife took pictures all game :lol
I'm glad the game was on NBA TV, so I can record it at 3AM or whatever and actually watch it...
I'll see if I can compile 30 or 40 of the best pictures and post it on flickr or something... I'll try to do it tomorrow and share...
BTW, I finally got Gary Neal to write an autograph in my gray cap, and he did it with a silver marker :bang
I also told Matty that my wife wanted a picture with coach B, and he cracked up but said he had to go... :lol
Don Newman was also funny... he caught me eating coming back after the half, and he was gesturing to pass him a hot dog... :lmao
The other noteworthy shit was a heckler behind the Spurs bench with a TP jersey that read "I LUV U ERIN", and his wife/gf had another that read "MISS U EVA"... they kept showing it to Tony... At the end of the game, the guy pulls up the jersey and he has a signed Kobe Lakers jersey... :lol

Spurs pull away from Nets (http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/02/14/jersey-snore-spurs-pull-away-from-nets/)
Jeff McDonald
...As Jefferson has learned quickly during his time in San Antonio, however, it isn’t about the numbers, or the record.
“It’s about how we’re playing, and how we will be playing in the playoffs,” said Jefferson, who contributed seven points. “You don’t get to just sit back and enjoy the ride.”
...Not only did Parker scoot the length of the floor, make a layup, draw a foul and swish the free throw. He did it in 4.4 seconds.
“He’s done a great job this season understanding when it’s time to score and when it’s time to distribute,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “At that point, he went into attack mode.”
Said Parker, who finished with 13 points and seven assists: “I knew I had to push it.”
...“They have the best record in the league for a reason,” Nets coach Avery Johnson said. “They don’t beat themselves. They go about their business, and they’re very methodical in their approach.”
...“I keep waiting for the hammer to fall,” Popovich said. “Somebody gets injured, or we lose five out of seven, or something like that.”

Spurs 102 Nets 85 – There’s No I in Spurs (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/theres-no-i-in-spurs)
by Scott Sereday
48 Minutes of Hell
The Spurs beat the Nets handily last night by the score of 102-85. The Spurs created off the dribble, got to the line, set up a ton of open looks, dominated the boards and made New Jersey work for every basket. Manu Ginobili led all scorers with 22 points, including 2 treys and 8 free throws. Parker contributed 13 and 7 dimes. Blair did his thing on the boards and Duncan shot well while playing tremendous defense on Lopez and helping out with 3 blocks. Every Spurs player finished with a positive plus minus before garbage time. Just like their season, no one player dominated the headlines, but the Spurs were able to win every quarter and come away victorious. The win brings their record to an astounding 46-9. The amazing part is that, despite the record, there still doesn’t seem to be much buzz about this team.

I think of this everytime the Spurs lodge one win after another. And frankly, I'm amused. This has got to be the quietest run to a 46-9 record and I'm loving it.

A nice article out of NY:
"I don't know how to quantify it," Gregg Popovich said about his side's cohesiveness. "Tim Duncan creates an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, even if they screw up. He's one of the least judgmental people I've ever been around. Demanding, not judgmental."

on ESPN First Take, they were discussing "Will the Spurs reach the NBA Finals?" and one of the guys said (not a regular) that even though the Spurs are 46-9 and Duncan is getting a lot of rest, he sort of alluded to Duncan starting to take it easy and Pop got in his face last night and yelled at him.
I know I'm probably looking more into this then I should because I know Pop yells at his star players like he would the bench, but did anyone see during the game when Pop yelled at Duncan?

Way blown out of proportion. He wasn't really "yelling" at Duncan. Duncan obviously did the wrong thing on defense and Pop wanted to clarify what he was thinking. It lasted a whole 10 seconds.

...I think it drew a little attention because...
Spurs were on defense and TD was helping out..and in doing so..the nets got a layup ...
Pop immediately calls a 20 sec timeout and tears into Timmy...was a little uncomfortable to watch...but Timmy got that look on his face like...ok whatever...
then Malik Rose stated, ``I see the look on Timmy's face and watch him now get about 3 blocked shots''...
Timmy did...
so I guess Pop kinda jolted the rest of the team with that little move...
doesn't happen a lot or work every time...but it did last night...

Yeah i saw that on FT this morning as well and laughed. Pop getting on players asses for something.. When is that news? He rips on Tony and Manu, Tim is not exempt. That is just pop being pop.. The guy on FT was a Kobe Bryant worshipper.. We know Pop and Tim have serious Bromance..

I laughed when I saw it because it was so early in the game. I haven't seen him do it a lot to Tim. But Tim is so coachable that he just went on to be aggressive against the Nets.
I remember Pop getting really upset Manu maybe two seasons ago because Manu was complaining so much against the officials and Pop told him to sit the f*** down...or something to that effect. :lol Anyone know what I'm talking about? I believe it was against the Celtics. There was even a video of it before but I can't find it now.
