:lol

Also, all Spurs involved in All-Star weekend will fly to LA from Chicago. Hit the link for the whole piece.

...Already, he’s begun to plan his rotation, especially as it relates to Lakers star Kobe Bryant and Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki.

“They’ll play at least 45 (minutes),” Popovich joked. “If I go to 48, it will be too obvious.”

Long road trip even longer for Spurs’ All-Stars (http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/02/16/long-road-trip-even-longer-for-spurs%e2%80%99-all-stars/)

Man, Manu's twins better be in LA or else they might not know who he is by the time he gets back to San Antonio.

From his last article in his website, they will be there.

Awaiting Laker fan meltdow over Pop sarcasm, ala the aftermath of the "Trade Committee" that Pop "proposed" after the Gasol deal.

The fans want to watch 'exciting' players like Kobe and Dirk, Pop just giving them what they want. :toast

Can Pop trade Gasol to the East for Joe Johnson and a second-round pick?

Start Tim. Take him out after one minute and sit him on the bench for the rest of the game. Have him change into street clothes at half-time.

Give Manu about 3 minutes per half--but not at crucial times if the game is close because he doesn't know the words "pace yourself" in English and might get hurt diving for loose balls.

Overtime would be great for extra minutes for Kobe and Dirk. Wear them boogers out, Pop.

I hope it's 45 minutes of nonstop run and gun offense.

Popovich admits he’s grown accustomed to using the All-Star break to take a breather and "contemplate my life and the world.”
Translation: I spend the All-Star break drinking wine :lol

I hope it's 45 minutes of nonstop run and gun offense.

I just want to see Pop call a timeout and bitch at Kobe for a missed defensive assignment.

Gotta love Pop's sense of humor. Compared to many other coaches who take themselves ever so seriously...

The traveling party list, which still could grow, includes Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili...All-Star Game...DeJuan Blair and Gary Neal...rookie challenge...Gregg Popovich...coach the Western Conference...Tony Parker...skills challenge...Matt Bonner...to run for a vice president’s opening in the players union.

For some reason the Bonner part cracks me up.

Bonner is going to save the league by negotiating the next CBA!

I've never understood statements like this one "that's one of our goals this year, when we get the lead we want to keep it" -TP

When isn't it your goal to keep a lead?

You simply have to stop reading things so literally and try to understand why he meant by that. It's actually not that hard. Especially since you know very well the Spurs couldn't hold onto a lead last year.
