This is mainly for the rockers

Has the "Prince of Darkness" lost some of his luster?
Does he have the same mystique you grew up knowing?

I don't really think he ever had any "mystique". He was always pretty goofy. Black Sabbath was menacing more because of the chord structures they used. Oz was always the happy hippy of the group and when he went solo he was just a caricature. Good music, but I never really bought in to the "Prince of Darkness" thing.

Dude's fucking old and has consumed enough narcotics and booze in the last 40 years to kill 1000 elephants. Just the fact that someone can consume that amount of drugs and alcohol and still be alive is a medical marvel to me.

Yea the "Prince of Darkness" thing has always been pretty cartoony. I think it's really difficult to maintain any measure of mystique doing the exact same act for 40 years. Sure lots of bands are still doing their thing 40 years later but not many of them pushed the "mystique" angle.

No he hasn't lost any of that "luster" at all by doing commercials with Justin Bieber.

I don't think the man knows where he is half the time. I'm pretty sure his wife turns him around and points him in the direction he needs to walk...

About as much as Tyler has lost doing American Idle (i know) or James Hetfield lost with the black album, the hair cut and the pussy lifestyle change.

The Black album has a few duds, but overall it's decent, imo.

The new Sabbath album is pretty good. Ozzy doesn't sound as washed up as you'd think... Better than his last few solo albums especially.

Geezer makes it sound like early sabbath.

Saw them at a concert at The Madera Speedway back in the day, Rod Stewart, BTO and Kansas were also on the bill. They did steal the show and Ozzy was great. And I really wasn't a big fan of theirs and still not, I do dig...Ironman..however. Wouldn't be at all interested in ancient Ozzy.

Well, I do like Sharon Ozborn. She has quite the sense of humor. especially to have married who she did!
