Does anyone have a way of getting hold of Mouse?
This is his apartment building.
http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=B8A6EC7D-34C4-43F4-8FA0-A1B50F00D331
Residents of the Country View Apartments say they heard a big lightning pop, before the building went up in flames overnight.
The fire broke out at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 8700 block of Fredericksburg Road, near the Medical Center area.
One woman says after her daughter saw the smoke, she went around and warned residents to get out.
"I got my cell and I called 911, and then I went around and notified all the people in the different apartments that there was a fire," says Angie LaBatte.
Everyone in the apartments reportedly got out safely.

BigZak, Joe Chalupa, anyone ... do you have an alternate number for him .. his sister's or Kim's work or something so we can check up on them?

I doubt their entire complex went up in flames. It's too big with separate buildings for that. Hopefully all their belongings are intact.

New complexes are designed so that if one building goes up, the others won't. That was a fairly complex.

Wait... the investigators said the fire appears suspicious. So, was it lightening, or was it arson? :(

The suspicious bit was about the fire at the warehouse on O'Connor road.

I was awakened (in San Antonio) by the storm and a few minutes before 4 AM there was a loud, crackling sound of lightening striking. I do not live near that complex but the lightening theory would be my guess as to what happened.

Yeah...there was one hell of a flash in my part of town that lit up the bedroom like it was day...I counted the thunder down and it was over 18 seconds and shook the house...so...3-4 miles...must have been one massive lightning strike...would have sucked to be THERE...

I heard that The Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin burned down this morning, also. Lightening strike was the suspected cause of the fire.

Damn mouse, that sucks, hope everything is alright.
I lived in College Station a couple years ago in the Doux Chene apartment complex and a hellacious storm came through. There was this one particular lightining strike that looked and sounded like it happened right outside my apartment, next thing i know i have a firefighter banging on my door telling me to my my car so they could get the fire engines in. Burnt an entire section to the ground, it was crazy

I was making a fresh batch of Mouse's mo-jo for the Suns to win tonight, and I had a tape in the VCR of the 99 spurs vs the blazers game. Then I heard a loud Bang, I just figured it was Jay Howard after someone hit a 3 pointer.
But then I could smell smoke, It was hard to tell if it was smoke from my bong or smoke from outside. Then I noticed it was light outside. so I looked outside and the unit next to mine had a flame coming from the chiminey, I had to think fast I could only grab what would fit in my hand so I got my Mavs cap and my girls gone wild DVD.
I started knocking on doors. one lady was so upset she cursed at me for trying to sell her something at 4 :50 am, many others just looked out the window, they must of thought I was just some drunk midget.
all this time the fire department is still at the gate and can't get in. it was a small fire that could have been stopped, but when they finaly got in the gate they couldn't find and water, many apratments burned for no reason.
you must go to the gtg to get more details,

If it's legit, post it.
In light of recent events, Mouse officially has a 24 hr grace period to make a total ass of himself if he wishes. Probably no discernable change will be noted, however.
