Mrs M, others, have you sunk you teeth into this trilogy movie series?

Some intense story lines for sure.

Sweedish filmakers based on the three books.

I'm reading the first book now. well, not actually now... oh you know what I mean.

films are subtitled right? some people I know refuse to watch foreign movies.

their loss, doesn't bother me.

I've heard the books are much better. The second film was ok not as good as the first.
as far as the third film.. I turned it off about 50 minutes in.

You actually have to read in order to watch these movies so I definitely think its one for you to avoid.

Read the trilogy and forget the movies. A good screen adaptation of these books is impossible IMO.

I started readng the first book a week ago and don't plan on watching the movies until I've read all three. The books are always way better than any movie version, IMO.

#2 was solid i agree.
Not sure if i liked it better then #1, liked them both. Liked the continuation.

Did not like the ending of #2. Wayy overdone. After she got loose from partially burnt face and large blonde psycho (using non spoilers here silver), writers should have just had her slipping into the woods. Great setup for "to be continued......" movie #3.

Still liked it, ready for #3! The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest.
Guess this series is catching on here in US. Barnes and Nobles is featuring the 3 set for like 35-40 bucks after discounts.

David Fincher is directing the American remake so there's a chance its good. Rooney Mara is the female lead. Havent read the books or seen the films but i'll get around to it one of these days

oh crap

i've only seen the first one and thought it was just okay. no real desire to see the others though.

If Hollywood does what they did to, "La Femme Nikita,"...or Vanilla Sky...

then I think it will be a shame...

Just saw #3, The Girl who Kicked the Hornets Nest.

Be prepared to be a bit let down silver mystic. Compared to 1 and 2 i mean. It still gives closure on a bunch of things but wayy too drug out. 3 could have been broken into 3 and 4. Also the very ending leaves one at??? I don't know if that's it for the Swedish series or not.

Saw them on Netflix and thought they were enjoyable. Not the greatest movies of all time but better than a lot of other crap that gets recommended to me.

I didn't understand the movie.
I wanna be like Charlie Sheen.
But i don't want to stop hiding behind profiles.
If i say "I'm a bar lowerin Weasle Welcher" does that impress?
I'm hungry.

yum

Think i'll wait for the american version, but there is no way it'll be even close to as good as the books

In the book, the girl is 4-11 and 90 lbs.

I'll pass... that's 5th grader size.

can't imagine a harder character to portray than Lisbeth Salander. there's so many layers to her in the books. Hope the actress is up to task
