This cements the Mavericks' contender status. Spurs-Mavs Western Conference Finals are inevitable. I predict Mavs in 7 after overtime.

I always thought we lost a lot with the Harris trade. Not that Kidd wasn't effective but that Kidd and Terry didn't play well together due to both needing someone quicker to make things tougher for the opponent. Terry could spread out the court but Kidd needed someone with with some speed. Chandler definitely was an improvement in that category over Dampier for Kidd.

Bye bye Roddy.

Can you imagine what the reaction would be if he was in the deal?

Honestly, if it is Roddy B for Harris, it doesn't really scare me. It won't be a huge gain.

They need a two-guard, not an inefficient, poor man's version of Tony Parker.

I can see them getting in on Stephen Jackson

Harris helps, but I don't think it should scare Spurs fans anymore than they should be already.

devin harris is proven mavs dont even know wtf roddy b is. ognna end up being you gotta do that trade if your the mavs. esp if you have kidd and dirk on their last legs for about 3 more years..

it makes alot of sense for the mavs.

This should scare Spurs fans.

Why? Harris is solid, but that still doesn't shore up the Mavs sf position.

i swear if we give up beaubois for this motherfucker..

Especially with wallace and steven jackson apparently on the block. We already have enough midgets at the 2 fuck me

Why exactly would Dallas want Harris?

They've got Kidd, Terry, Roddy, and JJB. Only three of those four will get rotation minutes in the playoffs. How much better is Harris than whoever you rank as the third best guard that they already have?

I'm gonna get worried if they trade for Diop, tbh

Jackson on the Mavs would be a great pickup, but Wallace would be scary because they suddenly become an elite defensive team in the post and on the perimeter. He can't shoot that great though, but he can get to the hole.

Beaubois scares me a lot more than Devin Harris.

if stephen jackson is really on the block and we trade for devin harris, im seriously done with this team

Wait...I thought you were "seriously done with this team" forever last year?

Possible that Kidd is involved? NJ was interested in Billups/Andre Miller. Maybe Kidd is backup plan.

I'm not a fan of Harris at all, but he would fit pretty well with the Mavs, assuming that he can still play D(he's been a poor defender for the Nets, but it could be due to effort)..the problem would be the amount of guards the Mavs would have, and if they give up Beaubois, whether it's worth it or not(I don't think it is)..

Harris is not a legit #2 option, but he's a high-end #3, which is better than what the Mavs currently have..his style of play would be ideal for them, since he thrives off the opponent's D focusing on the other options on the team..

Also, obviously, the other options should be an issue..if they can get Stephen Jackson or Iguodala, it would be a better option than acquiring Harris IMO..

As for the Nets, their fanbase already hates Avery Johnson, it didn't take long:lol..
