If the Spurs romp to victory, and it seems relatively easy, then I imagine that Duncan would want to come back for a possible 6th title.

It would be best for his legacy and image for his last moment in the NBA's spotlight to be him holding the trophy after the confetti's fallen, like David Robinson did in 2003.


But I think he'll want to squeeze as much out of the Big Three's time together as possible.

Now, if the road to the trophy were incredibly arduous and difficult, with Game 7s, and the Spurs barely eked out a win against the Celtics in a seven-game series.........I think Duncan might retire. He might see that his chances of winning 6# were relatively slim (in the next season at least,) and prefer to retire on top. He might sense that he got "lucky," and that it couldn't be counted on to happen ever again in his career.

IF the Spurs win the title you got to think he goes for a back to back. Next year's team could possibly be just as good since Blair would have another year under his belt...but really it would all be depending on Splitter. If Splitter has an RJ like jump in production then another title would be very likely. But let's just focus on this title first.

I was watching some of the Westminster Dog Show about a week ago. Mary Corillo was the co-host with some other guy, who I assume was the expert. I don't know why she was there but she was actually kind of funny.

Anyway, in the past, they've had some stodgey British host who would always say things like "oh, that's a nice looking bitch" or "maybe this is the year that this bitch comes out on top", etc.
But noone said anything like that this time.

He won't retire. I think he'll play few another few years - in fact, if our team is in rebuilding mode somewhere down the line, I can see him staying for a season just to be around the young guns.
