...condemn the "new civility?"

'Get a Little Bloody' (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703775704576162533209090102.html?m od=WSJ_Opinion_MIDDLETopOpinion)

A Democratic congressman urges government employees to take violent action.

The rhetoric around Wisconsin's government labor dispute is getting more violent. NHJournal.com reports that Rep. Michael Capuano, a Massachusetts Democrat, said this yesterday at a Boston "solidarity" rally: "I'm proud to be here with people who understand that it's more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary."
...
It will not surprise you to learn that Capuano is another “civility” hypocrite. On Jan. 9, the day after a madman in Tucson, Ariz., got a little bloody, the Globe quoted him: “What the hell is going on? There’s always some degree of tension in politics; everybody knows the last couple of years there’s been an intentional increase in the degree of heat in political discourse. . . . If nothing else good comes out of this, I’m hoping it causes people to reconsider how they deal with things.”
...
Capuano’s rhetoric at yesterday’s rally was not just violent but authoritarian. He urged government employees to “get a little bloody”–to commit violent acts against citizens, as if this were Libya. As we noted yesterday, public sector “collective bargaining,” in which public officials “negotiate” with the unions that helped elect them, is essentially a conspiracy to steal money from taxpayers. Capuano, it seems, would like to escalate that to armed robbery.
And, now, for the effect...

Thanks Brah. Some douchebags told me they didn't see anyone black in the tea party protest so I thought some were right calling them racist until a very likeable person such as yourself presented a photo with a couple of blacks in the crowd. :toast

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps President Obama has also made the same observation and will put more funding toward minority teacher programs. We'll call it "The Jack Sommerset Equality Amongst Educators Act." It's got a mighty fine ring to it!

I like it as long as they don't make the test easier so that minorities can get the job quoto barry sets. I'm all about equal rights.

So, exactly who are the racists?

YiPsNYvntKE

Gay, black, and conservative. Called him "son," "stupid," "uneducated," and asked if he had any children he would claim or why he would vote against his own best interests.

That's right, the "new civility."

Ah yes, the old "your side did it too" thing.

That's really all this forum is about, people pointing out the hypocrisy of both sides of the aisle and pretending it's wrong for one to do so while ok for the other to do so.

The biggest and most frequent culprits of this tactic on this site are Yoni (for the right) and GGA (for the left).

Wait to fight the good fight fellas.

Although Chumpdumper, RandomGuy, and CosmicCowboy are big advocates of this as well.

I reject the premise of your post.

When has the Tea Party or any conservative group engaged in beating their opponents?

Kenneth Gladney (another black Tea Party member -- Geeze! I thought that was a racist group) was damn near killed by a SEIU goon during a previous period of protests -- over Obamacare, I think.

Sorry, the violence appears to be slightly one-sided.

http://action.seiu.org/page/s/solidarityaction <- That link will take you to an SEIU page where you can sign up as an “organizer” for one of their upcoming major rallies to support the union goons in Wisconsin. Here is what I am doing in Sacramento, where they are holding a 5:30 PM event this coming Tuesday: (1) I signed up as an organizer (2) with any luck they will contact me and I will have an “in” (3) in or not I will be there and am asking as many other people as can get there to come with, all of us in SEIU shirts (those who don’t have them we can possibly buy some from vendors likely to be there) (4) we are going to target the many TV cameras and reporters looking for comments from the members there (5) we will approach the cameras to make good pictures… signs under our shirts that say things like “screw the taxpayer!” and “you OWE me!” to be pulled out for the camera (timing is important because the signs will be taken away from us) (6) we will echo those slogans in angry sounding tones to the cameras and the reporters. (7) if I do get the ‘in’ I am going to do my darnedest to get podium access and take the mic to do that rant from there…with any luck and if I can manage the moments to build up to it, I can probably get a cheer out of the crowd for something extreme.

They have nothing to say about the real violence of politics -- almost always perpetrated by the left.

Why say anything when you have a complicit media that will make the most tortured connections between conservative rhetoric and violence.
