they looked good tonight. slow start, but very strong finish on both ends. turnovers were ridiculously bad early on. their offense just flows soooooo much better with Roddy and Peja, and its starting to look like Haywood is playing to his potential. hopefully he keeps it up. seems like they rarely play the zone that made their defense so deadly early this year. maybe they are hiding it a bit and allowing peja and roddy more time to learn it.

Nice to see peja make his 3's. He's gonna get open looks.

Bench was strong as well.

Haywood finally playing like he gives a shit which is very nice to see. He still needs to work on his free throws but it's nice to see him trying to dunk the ball and just be aggressive. He needs to keep this up and if he gets benched for a bit, he can't become an emo whiny bitch again tbh

Good show Mavs fans! Ride this emotion and talent (such as it is) to beat LAL in the 2nd round then come down to San Antonio for another whipping.

Seriously how can anyone route for a team with Jason Terry on it and that mad owner?

You root for a rapist and the owner that took advantage of the rape. You've no room, Doc.

Mavs look good and deeep!! Peja hopped in th hot tub time machine and looks like 2002 Peja. But im pretty sure Artest or Barnes can guard him like Foxy used to ...Rick used to clamp on Peja ...he has a history of choking against the Lakers ...

and if that is the case, then the Lakers would be playing right into the Mavs hands, because they didnt bring Peja in with hopes of him providing tons of points like he used to do in Sac-town, they brought him in to stretch the defense, and hit wide open shots when he has them. Having him out there means Dirk will have a lot more one-on-one opportunities, and we all know that Dirk is as deadly in a 1-on-1 situation as any player in the NBA, especially if he were to have Gasol guarding him.

Really, people don't realize how the Mavs offense has improved exponentially. Now, they have as deadly of an offense as any team in the NBA. They might not push the ball and rack up points the way teams like Phoenix, San Antonio, or New York do, but they are now a matchup nightmare. Now, you really cannot double on Dirk and leave any of the starters open. Kidd is a deadly 3pt shooter, Roddy is a deadly shooter/slasher, Peja is a deadly shooter, and even Chandler can step out and hit 15-18 footers.

I'm definitely anxious to see them in action after they get Roddy and Peja going to see how it works against the elite teams of the league. So far they have already had fantastic success against them, and even though their defense may have slipped a bit, their offense has improved so much that I think it more than covers up for the slippage on defense, especially since they always have two guys who can man the paint well defensively, which is something they havent had since the last time they went to the finals in Damp/Diop.

It would only get more scary if they can pull off a trade to get Tayshaun Prince.

Stojakovic and Marion basically take all the SF minutes. Prince would have to play shooting guard or move Marion to the 4 more to rest Dirk more. This team has the perfect chemistry right now thanks to Stojakovic having a quick trigger and making those shots. As Beaubois gets more experience, he's going to have a lot of opportunities to score or rack up assists with this lineup. Beaubois seeing all the success on the offense he is having is going to raise his confidence which is huge for young players.

I think Prince may end up starting at SF if the Mavs got him, but if he doesn't, I'm fine with that too, just because Peja seems to fit so well with the starting lineup offense.

There is definitely room for Prince to get time at SF. If anything, Marion would probably get all of the backup PF minutes, as well as some SF minutes. Peja should only be playing around 15-20 minutes a game. There are 96 minutes between SF and PF. Come playoff time, here is how I would do the rotation if they were to get Prince.

PF - Dirk (39), Marion (9)
SF - Prince (21), Peja (16), Marion (11)

I would love to be able to head into the playoffs with this rotation...

PG - Kidd, Barea
SG - Beaubois, Terry
SF - Prince, Peja
PF - Dirk, Marion
C - Chandler, Haywood

11th - Stevenson
12th - Mahinmi

Neal was acquited = fail as he lives with a stigma but at least he had his day in court and did not settle a wink wink civil lawsuit and make it go away like a more famous NBA star!

You also root for Kidd - pleaded guilty to spousal abuse http://www.thesmokinggun.com/mugshots/celebrity/sports/jason-kidd and

Dirk who I acually admire as a player and has really done nothing wrong except loved a con woman who looks like monkey then apparently let her languish in prison with his unborn child (until the infamous Crystal had a miscarriage at some point)!

The difference being that Cubby doesn't act all self-righteous about how much classier his team is than yours.
