When the Celtics and the Spurs meet in the finals this year, Boston's going to miss having Perkins and Robinson. Heat you say? Please...
I just wanted to say thanks to the Boston management team for handing the Spurs the LOB trophy in 2011, cheers! :toast

Except that the big man who would make things the toughest in Boston is now playing for a team that fought the Spurs hard for 48 minutes last night.

I give the Thunder about a 45% chance against the Spurs.....that trade was huge for them.

Nice. Stupid Spur fans still taking LA and Dallas lightly.

It does help the Spurs in one sense, in that in weakens what's probably their most likely Finals opponent, should they get there. In another sense, it makes the road tougher, since they're likely to play the Thunder in the second round and the Thunder just got better.
But I said before the season that I thought the Spurs would win the championship and this is just the latest in a laundry list of things that only makes me more confident.

From The Skunker to NBA World Champions. Has that ever been done?

anything can happen...
In this country you can be born poor and black...
and grow up to be rich and white...
Like Michael Jackson did.

Spurs starting center is 6-7...... Tim Duncan is becoming ancient and doesn't provide a whole lot of interior D anymore, both Dallas and LA are better than SA,

Didn't you chumps in purple do it?

Ok. You have your skunker. I have The Skunker. You never mentioned my skunker until I cited The Skunker. You always just cited closing down The Forum.
I'm a trend setter.

This would be true for next year, not this year. Chemistry means a lot and Perkins and the Thunder won't have it by playoffs. Just like Dick didn't fit in his first year and Tiago isn't fitting in his first year.
Thanks again Boston! :lobt2:
Also this would be vindication 2.0. Neal would be excused for his acusation of rape and the skunker will go down like runner up in a Ms. America contest.
Please.
Lets make up. I dont like this bickering. :(

I thought that the Spurs would get to the Finals and killed by the Celts, now I think the Spurs can make it interesting or even win it.

You all never concentrated on the skunker until The Skunker. You were thrilled just to close The Forum down.

I agree Boston just weakened their chances and I don't really understand why they did. This is just weeks after the management touting in LA about how they were a Perkins injury away from winning it all last year. So why trade a guy you think is that valuable? I don't think either O'Neal will contribute that much come finals time.
But boy did OKC get a lot scary on defense. That being said, the loss of Jeff Green will really hurt them offensively - Westbrook and Durant can't score ALL their points. And Boston's offense has been really ugly lately - apparently they were more concerned about that at this point.

You're livin' with The Skunker. If you want to cite the skunker, feel free.
Let us proceed...
Cully bleeds purple and gold, that should not be put into question. Let us hug this out and then procede.

Don't worry about Boston. The spurs have to get out of the west first.
