More hilarious than the Spurs signing Finley after eschewing the talents of Brewer for Fin's vast corporate knowledge?

Better yet, Spurs just flat out drop out of the Brewer race to resign Michael Finley and Nick Van Exel.

Nick the Quick (great name he's got, by the way), I thought of him while outside the box, but thought he'd be too cartoonish of a stretch.

Now, actually choosing Fin over Brewer and giving Vaughn a jersey, well, I smell funny. :)

The only way Pop gets a favor back from Obama is if he starts a labor union. If Thornton's pre-arranged, that's the only way the Spurs had a shot at him.

$15 for a Visa gets you in the country. You'll live like a king for like 5 dollars a day. Insanity. Giza is the shit too. And Sharm is amazing. Shitloads of Russians and Brits. Went to Mt. The problem with Azubuike is, he's more of a two-three than a true three, but more than that, he's missed more than a full season now with a knee injury. He was a good athlete pre-injury, but at this point, he'd have to be brought along extremely slowly and I can't imagine he'd get back to being even adequate defensively at any point this season. He's probably going to need close to a full season to get back to where he was.

The Spurs need immediate depth, which is why if they miss on Brewer, they should sign Peterson.

I'm not the least bit surprised that Temple is under consideration, though. He's versatile enough to cover three positions, has some level of familiarity with the system and would just be happy to be in the NBA. Guys like Brewer, Ford and to a lesser extent, Arroyo, Azubuike and Peterson, if they're signed, they're likely to be expecting minutes. Unless it's Brewer, who would likely figure into their plans beyond this season, I'm not sure they want a veteran who expects to play. The reality is, even with Parker out, they'll be limited minutes available. When he's back, they'll be virtually none (Brewer is the one guy who'd have a chance to crack the rotation).

Agree. James Anderson, even when you consider he is a rookie coming from a big injury, is better than what is available at SF.

I'm just not comfortable at all with Spurs lack of depth at SF. It's could be problematic in certain matchups.
