4-17 FG is irritating. Yes he's a rebound machine, but he should show some flashes in offense against the college guys. Everybody call him new Rodman, but Rodman was an offensive juggernaut on college.

:lol Blair was 10x the player in college than this guy is. Not even close. Not saying he isn't a good rebounder, but using Blair vs this guy with regards to arguing talent is silly.

I dont feel this Faried being NBA prospect. 2nd round and Europe/D-league.

I agree the Spurs don't need his kind of player, but as to whether he will sniff the NBA? Pt it this way: if somebody like Danny Fortson (whose college stats are extremely similar) could have a 10-yr career in the NBA, it doesn't seem outlandish to predict Faried may, too.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, this guy's a first round prospect for sure. There's even a decent chance he doesn't drop past 20. A couple of mocks got him going late 20s.

He's got a couple inches of height on Blair and not only is a really good rebounder he's a good defender. Sometimes I think Blair's weight limits his athleticism, Faried is much lighter and very athletic. Blair's a lot stronger, but not near as quick. Neither one of them have much of a jumper and believe what you want, but Faried's vertical him to be just as good a rebounder as Blair if not better. I would say the biggest advantage of Blair is strength, his offensive skills in the post, and his intangibles. But Faried's got a few advantages as well. Overall Blair's a little better of a player, but if Faried drops to 30 there's no way I wouldn't take him.

The kid is legit, he needs to work on his offensive game (jumper and post) and mature a little.

When you're picking 30th you always pick talent over need, and this kid has it. Besides, McDyess isn't going to be able to play big minutes next year, it's anyone's guess whether Splitter can kick being a China doll, and anything to keep Bonner off the floor is a positive.

Kid has a great motor. Best case scenario he's a Dennis Rodman (without the character issues). I wouldn't want him and Blair on the same team though. He had a good combine so his stock is moving up.

I recently read that the Knicks GM, Donnie Walsh, is head over heels in love with this guy. If that is true, there isn't much chance he gets by them.

Shooting a third ranked 61.2% in half court situations, Faried was a dominant figure in the OVC, and showed well against top competition too.
