Definite candidate for the late second rounder the Spurs will have this season. If hes still on the board at 60 (not a sure thing at all) I think you definitely pull the trigger.

Yep. I'd consider a trade up to get him. From the limited footage I have seen, the word "Euro Kevin Love" keep running through my head. 60% of K Love would be great...

Ehh this guy will likely be late late second or undrafted. He just doesn't have much upside, he's strong but not very athletic at all.

I think you overestimate the strength of this draft. I assume a lot of teams will be thinking "Euro" a lot earlier based on the relative weakness of the overall pool. In the second round it's a crap shoot anyways.

Scola v2.
PF with limited size and athleticism who is a scoring machine and with a long term contract (until 2015).

Eh, it's the 60th pick. If you're ever going to burn a pick on a guy with a super long overseas obligation, the 60th is probably the best possible choice.

It wasn't a knock on him, Scola was a good late second round pick. I agree with you about Macvan.

Yep, if he's really Scola V2, drafting him 30th would be just fine. Seriously, Scola is an NBA starter. Getting that from 30th is a decent return. From 60th is just awesome...

Any idea on if he wants to come to the NBA? Or is this Fran Vasquez 2.0?

He early entered in the 2009 draft before withdrawing so I guess he has at least a minimal interest to play in the NBA.

So wait, this guy's already Scola 2.0? I leave for 5 minutes and this...

I'm planning a trip to Tel Aviv in the next few months. Maybe I'll have to go see him play :)
Bruno, would 30 be a reach you think? Considering the relative strength of this draft maybe not. Especially when you consider we spent the 28th on Splitter and had to wait several years on him. To say nothing of Mahinmi... Honestly, with no major holes in the team - at least none that can likely be solved in the draft - a long-term draft like this might be reasonable. Hell, I was advocating for Rabaseda not too terribly long ago.

I don't know if his contract has opt out clauses but if it hasn't, I wouldn't spend the 30t pick on him. Waiting 4 years is a lot and Macvan isn't a as good prospect as Splitter and Scola were.

He is similar to Nikola Pekovic. Extra he can shoot the ball.

He's a really fundamental monster. He has a very big BB IQ and very polished game. It's a big fun to watch him.
