American Reunion was only faintly on my radar when it came out, so I didn't watch it.

I caught it on TBS on demand last night; it's definitely worthy of the franchise. Solid.

I didn't watch American Pie Naked Mile or whatever other presumably shameless attempts to capitalize. But everything I've seen with Stifler and the gang actually in it has been top shelf.
i've only watched one of the spinoff movies (beta house) and thought the quality was poor. reunion was fine. i was expecting a complete trainrweck with that many years in between, but it was worth one watch, for sure.

honestly i think 1/2 are in their own tier, and wedding/reunion were a notch below. i barely remember the latter two.

It took me like a week to remember that I did watch American Wedding. Yea, that was pretty good. I can see that AP 1 & 2 are better than the other two; but the difference may not be all that much. I'd have to re-watch them all to adequately compare.

I'll be honest; I haven't watched a lot of movies in people's top tens. I tend to not get excited about modern Hollywood formulaic movies. Many of the ones I have seen were in social settings.

I probably watch it two or three times a year and never get tired of it. I find the relationship between the two leads, Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) and Daniel Evans (Christian Bale), to be fascinating.

Same hear. I love the 3:10 remake. Seen it several times and each time I notice a new little nuance about their relationship. Ben Foster absolutely owns every scene he’s in as well.

Not at all. Throughout the movie you begin to notice that Dan is probably the only man that Ben Wade has ever respected in his life (regardless of how much shit he gives him). And since he saw himself in Dan's son, he was giving him something he never had, respect for his father and a stable home (financially from Butterfield). I don't think Wade really gave a shit about killing his own gang. He killed one already for the fuck up with the coach robbery at the beginning already, and he described them as a pack of wild dogs.
