Sprained both ankles.
Dislocated finger twice, same game.
Going to have an MRI monday thanks to a dumbass on my own team jumping below me right into my gut and clipping my knee when I was going for a rebound (probably meniscus tear).*
*type of guy that goes as low as he can into the key then jumps up with as much force as he can to create space knocking people away from him.
So what kinds of stuff have happened to yourselves out there?

Today a piece of wood fell on my finger and it looks like my nail will fall off cause it's all black and it hurts pretty much. It sucks that tomorrow I have a basketball game to play.

Sprained an ankle a couple of times. That's about it. My older brother tore an ACL once. I usually pace myself out there and play at 3/4 speed.

I had a double coronary when Vuj got fouled late in Game 7. I woke up on the basement floor of Luva's house (well, it's his mother's house) with Kool bent over me trying to give me mouth to mouth.
Needless to say it was false angina brought on by Kori's kicking Luva out and Kobe's indecision whether to pass to Artest, or launch a howitzer there late in......uh, Game 7.

yea, sorry. I guess I didn't see ''bball'' there. :downspin:
I do have one bball injury. Last Friday I played ball and I got hit with a knee in my right foot's quadriceps. First it was fine, but the next day I couldn't walk cause of the pain. It still hurts when I run but it's much better.

Torn ligaments in both ankles.

Broken every finger I have except my right ring finger.

Back injuries suck. I once came down on the back of both heels with my back straight. Basically my spine was pile drived. Hurt like hell and to this day I can still feel it a bit. This one is going to haunt me later in life.

Ya, they are no fun. Mine actually happened in a scrimmage my freshman year in HS. Went up for a rebound and one of my team mates clipped my knee with his shoulder. I basically fell 5 feet straight onto the small of my back.

Hairline thumb fracture.
Split forehead. (caught an elbow after a guy shot a three and I was running to cover him.
Three sprains of my right ankle -- the last one severe enough that I couldn't walk on it for 3 weeks.
Still going strong. Changed shoes, and haven't sprained my ankle in 5-6 years. :tu

hairline fracture on my pinky , got a screw. Sprained my ankle so much the scar tissue that developed put me in physical therapy for a couple months
Severely sprained ankles, both of them.
Bumped heads with some pathetic retarded scrub who got in my way when I was trying to lay up the ball on a fastbreak. I subsequently got a concussion.
I've also sprained my two thumbs and index fingers.
Tendinitis in my right knee during senior year in college. Annoying and only really hurt after playing ball until it magically went away about a year after it started.
Grade 2 right calf sprain this past July. First real injury playing ball and first sign of getting old. I was running down the court on a fast break and then it felt like someone kicked me in the back of the leg. I also heard the pop that NBA players talk about. It felt like a leg cramp after that....just one that didn't go away for a few weeks.

Forgot one of my more insulting ones.
I was guarding a guy in the post, he then jumps ramming his shoulder into my chin knocking me down. He made the shot and got the and one (req league). I then was dribbling back up the court and noticed something dripping on my hand. Ya, blood from where the guy hit me with his shoulder. I guess the refs were pissed that I fouled his shoulder with my chin... 5 stitches on the under side of my chin.

Let's see I've had some knee tendinitis from playing ball with ankle weights for too long.
Some Sprained Ankles here and there.
One time I had small blister on my hand, and when I dunked the ball the blister popped and blood started gushing. It hurt like hell, but it had a pretty cool effect. People were like "That kid dunked so hard his hand started bleeding" lol.
And I consistently jam my fingers for some reason, I probably need to get it checked out because they jam so easily.

Nowadays when I play ball it's just straight up Jumpshooting or floaters. There was a time when I used to look to attack the rim consistently, and I would always get beat up mid-air. Then when I call foul, I'll either hear "Nah, That wasn't even a foul!! That was just good D!" or "You're mad big! Man up, son!". Some people think because I'm 6'1 that I'm "Mad big" and for that reason they can punch me in my face when I attempt layups. I'm Jumpshooting from now on.

Son a post game is DA way to go in rec games wit nasty mofaccas.
I guess I've been really fortunate. All I've ever really had to deal with is a few rolled/minor sprained ankles. I also overextended my right knee one time and for months every time I would play, it would get sore and start to to click, so I had to start wearing a brace for a while and it eventually played its way out.

Torn patellar tendon in my left knee.
Sprained both ankles.
Torn tendon in my right pinkie.
Shin splints.
Broken right big toe from playing street ball when my foot kicked the curb. Also needed 8 stitches in my chin from falling and hitting the curb when playing street ball.
All in all not too bad. It's a young man's game though and I don't play much anymore.

I also fucked up my foot a while back, and still feel it every time I play because I never got it checked out.
Tendonitis in left knee, just requires a brace....that's pretty much it.

I've sprained my ankles around 15 times, the worst being torn ligaments in each..I never went to physio until recently, which was obviously a bad idea..I have to wear braces on each ankle now..
I've broken fingers twice, I've messed up the bone in my palm..
The worst "injury" I've had was a concussion, which resulted in the loss of my memory for around 24 hours, which was scary as fuck..

Never been hurt other than minor sprains but 3 weeks ago I was driving to the basket and felt a pop in the back of my calf. It literaly felt like someone kick me in the calf or a rock was thrown at it. I turned around to see who kick me and not a sole was behind me.
ive heard stories about a pop in the back of the leg and I feared it was my achilies. Lucky for me it was only a torn calf muscle but Im currently on on crutches and wearing a boot. Its been 3 weeks and I still cant put any weight on it. I'm going to be out for a while and it going to be a bitch when I am able to play bc my right side is going to be so damn weak and my left side is going to be so overworked.
Being on crutches and boot fuckin' blows....

Besides the occasional ankle sprain and muscle strain:
-Torn Right ACL in HS from making a quick cut (still wear a brace to this day when I play)
-Last year torn meniscus in left knee on my birthday, had it scoped and was playing again 6 weeks after surgery (always been a fast healer)
-Busted nose twice in the last year from guarding a guy too close and getting an elbow to the face. One was from a JuCo player who was 6'5 and 250 to my 6'1" and 210. Thought it was broken, since it bled for 5 hours non-stop, but everything checked out.

See my post earlier. Sounds like you got a grade 3 strain. You're probably already past the pool of blood at the bottom of your foot stage. With my grade 2 sprain, it was sore for about a month-month 1/2, then the achilles felt weird for a bit after compensating for the calf. After about 2 months, you should be back to hooping with a calf wrap though.

8 stitch cut above my eye from an elbow rebounding. Broken nose from an elbow rebounding. 0294-28402849028409820982094820429 spained ankles and knees. 32482084290842048094280429840928028490248420982409 824092840492824 jammed fingers. 2 hairline fractures in fingers (one that I thought was a bad jam and just kept playing for weeks - oops).
TBH I'm getting old and have probably started to get arthritis because some of my joints hurt for weeks after playing a few months ago. My shoulder especially which is odd since I never remember hurting it badly like my knees and ankles.

get it? cuz manny was young 10 years ago
this one time we were all getting fucked up at a pool lounge and I kept calling thispego out for sucking ass at basketball....and he cajoled me into playing 1on1 after we left and I was drunk. As I jumped up to block the shit out of him, I landed on my right ankle inwards...heard a loud "POP". Turns out I broke my ankle...which is basically a high grade sprain. Still hasn't been the same to this day. Gotta wear a brace whenever I want to ball (which is never, these days).

Pretty confident its a grade 3. It had to have almost been a complete tear. Its still pretty sore but when it first happened the calf was so sensitive that if i touched it or bumped it in anyway it hurt like a bitch. Doctor cant really do anything for me, just says dont put any weight on it and keep using the crutches and boot.
