In the last 3 or 4 years he wasn't able to elevate his feets. He seemed to be older than he really was.
.Now his blocks per game are better even playing 4 less minutes and he is dunking the ball more.He even made a dunk in the All Star game!! :lol
It's great for us.He's not Griffin but at least now he's better than Bynum

How can you possibly compare a future HOFer to those two wannabes?

He's getting most of his blocks by timing and knowing how his opponents will react to the defense.

Having a remotely competent front line and not having Michael Finley and Keith Bogans playing smallball 4 makes a lot of difference in a guy's ability to defend the lane.

Tim almost never jumps to get a block. If you show him the ball, there's a 80% chance he'e either going to pin it low on the glass or roof you with the hand on top. He blocks more shots below the rim than anyone else in the league.

Less responsibility on offense + less mileage from the season= more effort on defense..Duncan is playing better D than he has in any season since the last title..
There are very few players that have had as much of a defensive impact on their team as Tim has had for the Spurs' D, this season..

Timmy's athleticism has declined, but his game remains strong due to extreme expertise of mental aspects of the game.
He did seems to jump well today. I actually agree.
Per Rotoworld, Spurs ordered Tim not to jump until after the All Star game.

Which would explain why Pop pulled him from the All-Star game after that dunk.
