Reason to believe Spurs will win tonight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If there's a reason to believe the Spurs can wrap up the Western Conference finals tonight with a fourth win, it's precisely because they are not in the SBC Center. While their close-out record, overall, is impressive – coach Gregg Popovich is 15-4 in such games – they have a disturbing trend of kicking away at least one game on their home floor every series. As good as they've been at home during the regular season and in the playoffs, they've swept only a single series, taking out Memphis 4-0 in the first round last year.

This quirk usually doesn't upend them, but merely delays the inevitable.

While winning eight of their last 10 playoff series, the Spurs have gone undefeated at home in only two of them. Be it early or late, it seems to be part of their DNA to drop a game at home when it is least expected. Or maybe part of the problem is their fans have come to expect it, creating a palpable nervous tension inside the SBC Center whenever a game appears to be slipping out of the silver-and-black's grasp.

You would've wanted your props for the feeling of dread had the Suns won the series too.

Tough to lose when you play both sides.

I never want props when Spurs lose, unlike some others in here. If you do not know that, ask around.

I did not predict the Spurs to lose, I was using tongue in cheek thread to lighten the mood in here for me, and for any others who were nervous. The refs tried to give Phoenix the game again, and it could have gone either way, I knew that I would be a basket case last night and I wanted to make light of it. Ok, asshole?

Intelligent people can figure out sarcasm, wit and glibness w/o icons...try reading a book, you know, literature, something other than the garbage on the internet that I guess is all you read. They do not put icons in pieces of literature, because you are supposed to be able to discern the nuances of intent and mood without them. :rolleyes

Ok, asshole?

I completely overreact after losses, so I don't post much. If I posted everything that goes through my head after every loss, I'd read like rascal, icecoldbrewski and walton combined.

Funny the :p smilie actually types :d....
