I bet Miami cuts Arroyo and signs Bibby. Then they will cut Howard and sign Murphy. They'll get those 2.

:lmao @ Boston having a chance at either one of those players.

Murphy would suffice, but I fully expect him to go to south beach. I'd be stunned if he didn't.

I'm actually looking at Blake. At this stage one would assume Bibby wouldn't have a problem with the backup PG role.

Deserved or not, you can't forsake Blake now. We invested in him heavily. We have to see this to the end. We deserve everything we get. And we must get it. We can't step out the door.

Arroyo is gone.

Bibby, even though he's older now and has lost some athleticism, is an upgrade over Arroyo.

On the offensive side, Bibby is a HUGE upgrade over Arroyo. HUGE.

On the defensive side, it's equal. Arroyo sucks on defense too.

I'll take it.

Troy Murphy looks like he wants to take his talents to Souf Beach too

these guys know we have glaring holes at PG and C and we aren't happy with the current guys we have so they would immediately get playing time.

although at C, i like Dampier and have no fucking clue why spoelstra didn't play him in the ENTIRE SECOND HALF. Damp is our best C....

Heat have Wade and Bosh. You could give them Chris Paul at point, Kevin Love to rebound and throw in a big man like Tim Duncan to block shots and Lebron would still find a way to screw up the team.

MiamiHeat
02-28-2011, 06:00 PM
Being a "loser" and a "winner" is entirely dependent on the Front Office and the teammates you have.

Only time I would label a player a loser is when they have the pieces to win it all, and fail. Looking at Bibby's teams, the only time he had the pieces to win it all, was the Sacramento-Lakers series and we all know that was rigged and the Kings were CHEATED out of that series.

Bibby is a loser? The guy is a damn fine role player. Hell he was literally the biggest reason the kings almost beat LA in 2002. He took all of the big shots. He hasn't been on a stacked team since then. He is going to thrive in Miami. Murphy is very solid as well. Miami has some really clutch role players on that team with Murphy, House, Chalmers, and Bibby.

MiamiHeat

A good example of when I would call a player a loser, would be Kobe Bryant's leading the 2004 Lakers and the 2008 Lakers.

Both of those Finals, the Lakers were the favorites and were expected to win, they had all the pieces, and still failed. In fact, the 2004 Finals being one of the biggest upsets in NBA history and the 2008 Finals being one of the most embarrassing, most humiliating defeat in NBA Finals history. Losing by 39 points in an elimination game. I think it was even on the Lakers home floor?

No it was in Boston. In game 4 of that series at Staples, LA blew a 24 point lead and lost.

I remember their first game against my alma mater South Alabama. I was a freshman at the time and had my chemistry final the next day. South Alabama was winning most of the game and even had an 8 point lead late until Arizona went on a 17-0 run to seal it. Unbelievable. After that game, never expected Arizona to win the whole tournament, especially beating 3 number one seeds.

College and NBA are two different beasts. Many have exceled in one or the other but not both. My comment was meant as a Pro. He's a loser and the heat can have him.

I do find it interesting how all the san antonio heat fans said at the beginning of the year how they were going cruise through the season and then it was that Miller was hurt.... once he gets back were on easy street.... ohhh we put him on the block?... ohhh were getting Murphy and Bibby? Game was in Boston first off. And yes, Kobe was part of those 2 losing teams and must be accountable for those losses. He has also WON 5 times. But no doubt, when you bring up "losers" in the NBA, Kobe would jump right to the top of the list. BRILLIANT!!!

MiamiHeat

The Lakers won 5 rings in spite of Kobe.

Shaq carried them to the first 3. Great role players too. G-Money, Harper, etc..

Then Kobe misses the playoffs as alpha dog, refuses to shoot to prove a point which causes his team to get bounced in an elimination game when they were up 3-1 in the series, demands a trade, gets arrested for rape, snitches on teammates, throws teammates under the bus (bynum) only to later use them as an excuse as to why they lost (2008), refuses to play for the team that drafted him

yeah, i'd say the guy is a loser. the 2 rings don't phase me because the Lakers have double the payroll of almost everyone else in the NBA. That's called stacking the deck and it's fake "winning".

Really? Almost everyone? Without looking, they maybe have double the payroll of MAYBE the bottom few but not much more. Try again...

edit: well I thought I would look it up for kicks... so if you meant by "almost everyone" the last two teams on the list... then OK! :toast

There's no evidence the Heat got any help.

The Mavericks can't play defense back then. They certainly fouled Wade a ton.

Those retarded "PHantom foul" videos were disproven.

The most famous one :

Dirk and Harris both pushing on Wade's back, while Harris even decides to foul Wade intentionally.

I'm not a fan of Bibby, but good signing, he's a significant upgrade over Arroyo..he's one of the worst defenders in the NBA, he doesn't have an all-around game, but he can still shoot the ball and occasionally(against weak defenders) create off the dribble, no harm in signing him for the minimum..he also has experience from being a huge part of the 2002 title team, so the championship experience is there..
