Bibby hasn't committed to the Heat yet and is considering the Spurs now.

David Falk, per Herald, is saying the Spurs are among those chasing Mike Bibby. I hope that report is based on bad intel.

dude.. hes going to the heat...

his agent claim his options are still open with a couple of contenders

but going to the heat would make more sense

There are more teams interested in picking up a quality buyout guy than there are quality buyout guys. I'm sure the Spurs are just doing their due diligence, which must include contacting guys who aren't their #1 preferred option.

does miami really thinkt hey can do much with this guy? he's old, he's got swiss cheese defense, and he can't run a team with a "need the ball in my hand" guy like lebron.

i don't see this working.

Bibby can still shoot and anyone on the court with Wade & Lebron is going to get open looks. He'll fit in just fine there.

with Parker's injury, Spurs need to push for Bibby IMO. insurance.

This.

If nothing else Bibby brings some consistent shooting to the PG position there. He's definitely an upgrade to what they've got in Chalmers and Arroyo. He can also run some offense for them and take the burden off of Wade and LeBron as ball handlers in stretches.

Nah, the Spurs should pursue Brewer IMO. He can spell Manu and that will free Manu up for more PG mins until Parkers healthy.

We have got to get brewer. Best fit no question. Bibby would rather be a starter in miami than be "insurance" in San Antonio. No brainer.
