Spurs need to really open this game up. Put the foot on the throat.

Spurs playing with a little bit of energy the last few minutes of the game here, overall they haven't bought much energy tonight at all.

I'd like to see them finish off the Cavs like you have said by really stepping on their throats the rest of the game.

WTF does "ball-handling 3rd PG" mean? You do know that "handling the ball" is not an objective of basketball, right? They don't award points for keeping the ball 30 feet away from the basket. You need to do something with the goddamn thing. In Quinn's case, he can't get his own shot off, can't penetrate the lane, can't create for teammates, and can't defend anybody.

If one out of Neal, Hill or Manu are on the court, they can do all that and more. I'd rather take a chance with a more athletic D-leaguer who has the potential to at least stay in front of his man or take his man off the dribble than give Quinn minutes.

So how did Pop play Timmy so few minutes? From what I can tell from the box score, there were only six minutes of small ball, which was quite nice, even if I didn't get to see the game. Hope I don't get the Heat game taped only to find out they lost.:depressed I might still watch it if the youngin's combine to accumulate 100 mpg (Hill, Blair, Anderson, Neal, and Splitter).

To throw my hat in the ring concerning the earlier discussion, I wish Temple or Curtis Jerells (even Gee, though I'll admit JA made him redundant) had been kept over Quinn. Manu is basically 3rd string PG anyways in this type of situation, and Hill/Neal/Anderson/RJ can take care of the minutes gap left by TP. I might never buy a TP9 jersey, but damn I want him to be back by the 21st of March at the very latest!

Tbf EricB, Temple was looking like a great prospect before his injury in the summer league, but I guess that still doesn't explain his play earlier this season. Maybe him roaring out of the gate at the end of last season was a fluke, who knows. Is he still in the NBA?

P.S. It would have been stellar if CJ and Temple/Gee/Cousins were on the roster in place of Novak and Quinn. To washed up player<<< young hopefuls. Pop already had to deal with 3 fresh new faces (2 who got hurt early in the season) and a faster pace this year, I won't begrudge him wanting experience for the 12th and 13th men... much.:lol

P.P.S. I counted up the big men game minutes whilst including Novak, and realized it equals 96 exactly. :p:
