It doesn't matter if we win HCA by 6 games or 1 game...we'll hang on to the #1 seed...no worries.

I have'nt looked but the mavs will have to play a good team eventually and they will lose. It seems lately its bum after bum after bum on the mavs scheduele.

Damn, I thought I was a pretty negative fan...until I started reading posts on this forum.

I am not worried in the least about the Spurs, just need some time to adjust.

Being realistic, it is unlikely that the Spurs can hold on the the #1 spot if Tony is out for 4 weeks. If the recovery takes less time, it's a different story.
The truth is the Spurs don't have a quality playmaker apart from him and Manu, who can't play 40 minutes every game until Tony is back.

Wow...we lose one fucking game, on the road, without Parker, and people are jumping off a cliff... :lol

Spurs got this shit on lockdown, don't worry. :hat

i dont think so...coz tyson sprained his ankle, and he is also kinda important to the mavs...they could come close to within 2 or games imo

Even if by some chance we lose HCA, it won't make a difference either way unless the Spurs have a CONSISTENT above average DEFENSE to go along with this offense.

Spurs need to finish the season 15-7 to hold onto the one seed IMO. I see Dallas going 19-3 to close things out (including a win against us).

Can they do it? I'd like to think so.

This is silly bullshit Hill will be much better, he was fine when Tony went out last year. And fantastic in the playoffs.

If Parker was out for 2 or 3 games then one loss wouldn't be a big deal, but one month is a pretty long time to be out! Vanvannen was right about no one on the team is a playmaker. I know Manu can but he can't be playing 40 minutes a game.

Dallas will loose a couple of games for sure, their play has been solid, but they are counting on 2 players having stellar performances night in night out (Dirk and Terry).
I think there will be for sure a couple of nights where they will be off for sure.

Everybody knew what they needed to do last night and just failed. I expect to see a much more aggresive team out there tonight, as well as this weekend! Tonight we'll give that donkey a piece of cake.

Mavs won't get any closer than about 3.5 and they will likely be the closest in the league.

3.5?..lol. but it is nice knowing that the mavs will be pulling out all the stops to try and catch the Spurs while the Spurs will be on cruise control...:flag:

Said 'won't get any closer than about 31/2.' That's a conservative guess with us winning about 14 more games.

sorry bro I thought you meant 3.5 at end of season, I think the Spurs will be fine, I kinda like that the Mavs now will play extra hard trying to catch up while we the Spurs will just keep chugging along.:lobt:

Are you kidding (the OP?) The Spurs will win the 1# seed in just about 99 out of 100 scenarios.

Mavs gonna expend all their energy trying to catch the Spurs and end up layin an egg in the playoffs. So sad.

FYI, you are NOT a Spurs fan. Regardless of what you call yourself, or what you think you are, I repeat, you are NOT a Spurs fan. Spurs fans support only one team and that is the Spurs. You cannot claim to be a fan of the Spurs while simultaneously rooting for their biggest rival, or any other team for that matter.

Check your head.

Sort of like the mavs collapse in '06? '07? '09 against inferior spurs? :-)

Seriously, that's a concern 4 me-that spurs will get best record and collapse in the 1st round for whatever reason.and I do think yr mavs are formidable this year-last -3 mths should be exciting

Terry will score 25PPG for the rest of the season, Mavs will catch the Spurs and then Terry gonna clank 31% against the Grizz or Nuggets for a 1st round exit

if the spurs don't win it all, they choked.

There are probably only four NBA franchises that legitimately have a "If we don't hoist the O'Brien, we choked" mantle this season:

Boston, with their aging dinosaurs and Shaq - rapidly closing window;
The Lakers; Kobe with his race to catch MJ, and the fact that Hollywood southern Cal has always had its expectations in the clouds,
The Spurs - although they're not usually a win-or-bust team (certainly won't claim so,) but Duncan's a dinosaur;
The Heat......although they could claim they're laying the foundation for years to come, their expectations are high;

Other candidates - Mavs (Dirk soon to be gone,) Orlando (Howard wants to take the next step,) but seriously....

Before this season, I think not winning the championship would have been a disappointment. But now, after going 49-11 and rocketing to the very top of the standings? And perhaps the last time we'll see the Big Three put together a legit championship season like this again? It'll be a crushing disappointment.
