something along the way of "TP is way ahead of schedule. He could play against Miami but I would be shocked if he didn't play Sunday against the Lakers."

take it for what it's worth! :downspin:

How many really see him back before two weeks minimum with Pop's and the medical staff's historical conservatism on injuries, especially one of this type that is a deep muscle injury that could resurface if not fully healed?

This season has been full of non-typical spurs action.. Parker coming back early wouldn't suprise me. Pop is not as predictable this year.

TP has always been a fast healer...

And plus, wasn't it rumored in that other thread that Manu would heal him...?

this guy gets it. TP won't be rushed at all. Minimum 2 weeks out. unless the doctors really fucked the diagnosis up.

good news is it won't be anything close to 4 weeks

I would think you guys would be against a quick return. You will need parker in the playoffs as opposed to regular season. Unless like hater said they fucked up the diagnosis.

This injury just looked like good excuse to rest TP all along.

Some in organization seem to think it might not even be two. Knowing Pop, it will be six.

you should know by now that tony wasnt even hurt in the first place. Its a predictable CIA Pop move to see if we could win without tony. :hat

Popovich might not have to work without Parker for long. The Spurs' official release put his return at two-to-four weeks, but those within the franchise think it might be under two.

Pop had them say 2-4 weeks so the Spurs could get some play on the talk shows. It worked; Parker's injury announcement led ATH and Sportscenter.

if the spurs can beat Miami on Friday, then i think TP should sit out the Laker game.

TP has always been a crazy quick healer (much like Dirk), so I was optimistic that this injury wouldn't keep him down long.

Sincerely hope this is the case, because it's easy to take Tony for granted when he's playing well, but take away the Spurs engine, and the offense looks terribly inconsistent.

I heard that, too. Pasacreta (sp) was freaking. He was like, "OK, I don't care about any other interviews or news, my day is made." haha

This made me very very happy as well, missing out on Brewer after the original 2-4 release on monday and the loss to the Grizz had my week really messed up :lol:lol. I hope he heals fast but fully, get well Parker we need ya.

If true, this is great news. We need Parker for the game against LA. Hill is starting to get back into the swing of things, but he can only take us so far.

Okay, good point. But sacrificing the top seed via more losses now would hurt our playoff chances.

I honestly wouldnt be shocked if he plays tomorrow night or Sunday. TP has always been a very quick healer. It would be AWESOME if he could be ready by Sunday! :tu

Not as much as rushing back Parker. If the Spurs can't keep a lead on LA they've got WAY bigger problems than an injured starting point guard.

I would not be surprised at all if he is out less then 2 weeks, but I'm not sure he suits up by Sunday.

CIA Pop told him to get some rest because he wanted to see what the role players had in the tank... he was over-optimistic so he's already terminating this joke :)

That would be awesome to see him against the Heat or Lakers. I've been wanting to see our team at full strength against Miami...
