Mayor Kevin Johnson in a Thursday press conference said it's more likely that the Kings will relocate to Anaheim

It would be funny to see the LA basketball Kings share a building with the Ducks...who hate the current LA hockey Kings

Hard to believe that the LA area would get 3 teams. Not that they can't support 3 teams, but why not give another market a shot at the Kings, if they are indeed, leaving Sacramento?

Damn that would be like San Antonio losing the Spurs... those fans are die hard.

Kansas City Kings again? Similar to Kansas City Royals.

I don't think it's a matter of anyone "getting a shot". I think it's more a matter of where is there an underutilized arena (only an NHL team) in a market that you mentioned could support them and make some money. I think they need to do this quickly, and this move-in scenario gives them the opportunity to do that. It got really ugly the last couple of years for Seattle when they pretty much knew the Sonics were leaving. Sacto has had probably 10 years to come up with an arena and whiffed.

The building the Spurs played in in 2002 and prior..was great.

The move will benefit the Kings in regards to free agency. Nobody wants to play/live in Sacramento. Anaheim is close enough to LA to suffice.

Was gonna mention that. I believe they, KC, already got a new arena.

Yup, the Sprint Center in downtown KC.

The problem is its another small market city with two other sport teams.

No different than Hemisfair after Ice got traded and before David was drafted. The Alfrederick Hughes era had some dark days in the arena.

I think this a really dumb move. Yes, the region can support another team, but no one is going to want to. This only games people are going to go to is when the Kings play the Lakers. Too many Laker fans in the OC. I would say even more hardcore than the LA county fans.
