View Full Version : What would you prefer: a tired Heat team or a pissed Heat team?

They blew a 24pt 3rd quarter lead at home to Orlando. They had to fly to SA after the game.

They are tired (Wade/James/Bosh) all logged 40 minutes on the front end of a b2b at home.

They are pissed (BoshSpice slammed the ball at the end of the game and then cried in his postgame news conference)

Is there an advantage either way for the Spurs? I would say yes, a spent Heat team going on the road to the best home team in the league after losing a game they had in the bag is depleting and demoralizing.

And BoshSpice can't control his emotions.

A crying Heat team is fine. The only regular season loss that would ever deserve crying would be one in Cleveland tbh.

Doesn't matter what type of Heat team come to SA, the Spurs will win.

The 'big 3' is nothing more than a great player, along with someone who hates clutch situations and a tall dinosaur looking dude who has too many female hormones.

All the Spurs have to do is apply the old Phoenix Suns tactic in which you let Wade and James get theirs or at least make them work for it and not let some scrub like Miller, Bibby, Chalmers, Bosh or Jones light you up.

maybe I would be scared, if Bron or Wade would have slammed that ball...With Bosh its just funny.

"See? I'm a tough dude! Seen it? No? Give me another ball! Whooohaaa! I'm so tough! everybody has it on camera?"

As long as it's not a victorious Heat team that leaves town tonight I'll be happy.

Spurs win in a close one.

a tired one... so that they'd blame each other in front of the cameras for a big loss.

I'd prefer a healthy Tony Parker. Tired or not, the Heat should be able to get what they want at the rim. We're gonna need folks to step up, especially Richard "Sleepwalker" Jefferson.

Well, I guess Durant was right.

Who cares? This game will not be lost or won because of the Heat, it's all about how the Spurs will either win or lose the game.

If you don't have a bench then you can't hold a lead in the NBA. The Spurs will kick the shit out of the Heat.

I prefer it this way, it's a huge challenge for the Spurs.

Not only do the Heat have no bench, they have no plays. And they have a shitty coach.

Sunday evening could be really sweet, with Ws over MIA and LAL on national TV.

They will try to avoid 3 games losing string; that's why they will fight hard.

But we will win.

tired or pissed doesn't really matter, their biggest problem is execution in the last 2 minutes of a game, Spurs will take advantage of that and win a close one.

The Spurs are consummate professionals, experienced and can play physical ball with anyone on any given night. I think it matters little what state of mind the Heat are in. It more important that the Spurs bring it. I'm hoping to see an effort reminiscent of the home game against the Lakers in late December. They'll certainly need to scrap hard on defense, be crisp in their rotations and simply DO NOT make dumb, risky passes. You get Miami running and that's the ballgame. You get them playing half court ball and you have a good shot at winning, even without Parker...

But on the other hand we want the Spurs in transition! I just think turnovers will be they big key.

I look forward to a close one tonight. We really need to bring our A game at home tonight.

Dont underestimate the Heat............they need a win badly, and would love one against a quality opponent like the Spurs.

It will go to the wire............ Im not even confident the Spurs will win.

Tired and pissed makes mental errors and is easily frustrated. The key for the Spurs is to get Duncan going early and get open looks when Miami double teams. Manuand RJ are going to have to do a good defensive job on Bron and Wade which means, that guys like Hill, Neal and Bonner will have to shoot well. If the Spurs can dominate the post, they should win this game.

Spurs +9

Heat will be fine tonight. But it's the Spurs game to lose really.

Since James has a history of putting blame on others, I'm sure the Heat are pissed. His problem this year is that his teammates also have large egos, and people with large egos don't want to be blamed. Why give the Heat any say in this game. If the Spurs can push the ball and keep their system intact, the Heat will turn into spectators.

This. The Heat are much more desperate to prove themselves against the NBA Elite than the Spurs are.

The question of this thread does not make much sense, because the Heat are pissed and because of that even more tired. If I had blown such a lead, I could not sleep in my own bed ... even less on a travel to SA. Being pissed means you are trying to force something next time, but because they are tired the FGs won't drop that easy ... Spurs win

Budkin

All that matters is that they are going to be tired. We must take advantage.

I don't care as long as we win. It's gonna be tough without Parker, we need Manu, Duncan and hill IMO to have a really good game for us to win. I can't wait for tonight! Go Spurs GO!!!!
