Looking for a 5th gen nano 8gb or 16gb. They are all over the place and vary in price by a lot. What's the going rate for a used 8gb and a 16gb?

If the price varies by a lot, then there really isn't a "going rate". Check ebay, you can always get new and used tech stuff cheap there.
