It even looks authentic, I wonder if it tastes authentic, or if it's for the USA pallet. Hard to get authentic Korean food here in the USA.

Bulgogi beef is some great stuff. My favorite is the squid in some kind of hot red sauce though. I can't remember what it's called.

Burger Tex 2 by UT on guadalupe has authentic Bulgogi burgers that are fucking awesome. its bulgogi beef with a house sauce that tastes like thousand island. you can add whatever you want on it too. i think it was in the Texas Monthly.

Well, I took my wife and mother out for the dinner. I have been going to this place for years. I am grateful that my mother is from S. Korea because the waitresses barely speak english.
It is the Kiku restaurant off of 35 and rittiman. They also have great Japanese Sushi there too.

Yea lunch special prices end at like 5:30pm or something like that. The soup and pot stickers were extra. When I go to a korean restaurant I eat a fuckload of food.
Yea it is in SA. At the location in my previous post.
I am glad there are people out there that enjoy different types of cuisine. Korean food is GODLY!!!

Damn, I love pho, though usually with some form of dead animal mixed in. Vietnamese sandwiches are incredible too.

Not hard at all in most major west coast US cities IME. I imagine it would the same on the east coast too.

My ex could tell you, I used to know but forget. She's from Taegu, where they make some really great spicy dishes.

If you like spicy food, Korean is awesome. Bulgogi is less spicy than most dishes. Some get pretty damn hot.

Except most oriental appetizers aren't as hot as most Korean is. They even use peppers in some that are as good or better than the hottest found in Mexican food. That is, if you find authentic Korean food, and not taken down a million levels of hotness for the American consumer.
One Korean appetizer I had before was roasted silk worms.

I really do know. Which is what makes all you walking grease bags inferior beings, imho. Sorta tongue in cheek, but not really.
As far as the pho goes. Yes, vegan pho is a blasphemy against a traditional, strong beef broth tradition. I don't care. It is delicious. And you don't feel like shit by the time you're signing the bill.

tbh pego, that's all fine and good, but I've eaten meat. A lot. I know the tastes and shit lifestyle I'm missing. And I'm not vegan btw, I eat seafood every single day. But the fact of the matter is, I feel great ALL THE TIME. I don't get headaches, my bm's are always quick and easy and scentless, I have constant energy, I sleep better, my fingernails for christsakes are so healthy and thick that I can't bite through them anymore, which is the only thing that ever cured me from biting my nails. I don't get sick from flu and head colds. I never get that tired ass, post meal, fatty-blood feeling that you encounter so much you don't even recognize it's related to a shitty diet. Every under-35 girl in America 'was vegan for awhile' and they universally love me because I manage to eat right without dressing like a beatnik fuckin' hipster; never under-estimate the power of Air Max + broccoli. And quite frankly, I have beyond moral superiority over the average cowardly, non-hunting American who's eating exclusively factory-farmed hormone pumped animals that were raised and slaughtered under torturous conditions.
I'm not fooling myself about shit. I rule.

you just described my life, but without delicious delicious meat. you wont see me eating fastfood, but i'm all over hunting, fishing, and shopping at my local market street purchasing organic meats and vegetables. But eating is something I enjoy,if you're happy simply "fueling your body" that's cool, but you're missing out.

Hunting is pretty cool tbh. I have much respect for hunters compared to strictly consumers.

Probably, but that's a function of growing up without a brother as an upper middle class white kid in Salt Lake City. My guns probably get more and higher quality protein than the average butcher's.

I don't know how much of the Tai food I've had that's authentic. However, I lived in Taegu for two years, and that was the spiciest food I face ever eaten.

Being of Thai (half) descent and once dating a Korean girl, it used to be fun to compete to see which food was the hottest. Of course I would say authentic (or close enough) Thai food is hotter than anything in the world and she would be contrary. The more I look back at it, the more I realize that both are worthy title holders of what's hottest in the world of hot foods. Also, I miss the days she'd make bibimbap (which sounds more like a hook in a poor pop song) and cooking up some bulgogi as well.
