No I haven't, but that guy is pretty out there. He's a literal genius but his whole singularity concept is a bit too far fetched to me. He makes excellent keyboards though :) Without them, we'd have no The Downward Spiral.

yep. I had no idea he was a genius :lol
Kurzweil isn't as big a name in synths these days as there are tons out there; both soft and hard synths.

I caught the documentary on Netflix a while back. Kurzwiel's thinking makes a lot of sense to me although many people debate the time line. I do remember there was something in the latter part of the film that I disagreed with to a large degree but I don't remember what exactly it was.

Kurzwiel is a smart guy though. I think we're going to see some interesting things in the coming decades.
