Are you kidding me? How is he still in this conversation? There is NO ONE else worthy of that title in the whole NBA? Please.

In the past, they've justified it as he had to carry his team because everyone else on the team sucked. :rolleyes
How do they justify it this year? The number of points he scores? He's a ball hog. Of course he scores a high number of points.

Blech.

Anyway, anyone have any true reasons he should still be MVP?

He's the best player in the league, he has the best stats and his presence turned a first round team like the Heat (last season) into an elite one.

Very good team if you want, whatever the case he made the team a lot better.

If he isn't in the conversation, it's only because the media and (ultimately) the voters are getting tired of considering him and voting for him, perhaps in part because he hasn't backed up the MVPs with any championships. But statistically, he absolutely deserves to be in the conversation. And when you look at the Miami Heat (despite their struggles against elite teams) and the Cleveland Cavaliers, it's foolish not to think LeBron is the main reason for both the success of the Heat and the failures of the Cavaliers this season.

As valuable as Rose and Dirk and Dwight are to their respective teams, LeBron James is still the best player in the league. He's probably not as "valuable" as those other three, but the definition of "MVP" seems to change annually depending on who the majority of the voters want to praise that particular season.

Exactly! And that's what makes this award such a joke.

Those Cavs aren't exactly a #1 seed out East this year.

Look at the Cavs record this year without him. Look at the Heat's record last year without him. Not saying he should be MVP, but he's in the discussion.

This makes sense but the Cavs are not the same ...I would say he is in the top 5 and is the most dominating player ...but dont see how he or why he should get it over Rose, Dwight or even Dirk TBH

Dirk stays healthy I think it would of been a tight 3 man race ...

Mr. MVP delivered with another choke with the game on the line, as usual he missed.
