We beat the Lakers twice this season. They're playing great today but it's not like we have no chance against them in the Playoffs. If it happens it'll be a damn tough series.
Today the energy level is not good. I think the Spurs relaxed after the Heat game but to begin the game we also missed 4 or 5 easy layups and a lot of opens shots. Lakers made a lot of long and contested shots.
My real worry is the boards. We have been killed on the boards against good teams for a while. My other worry against LA is TD. He played bad in all 3 games against them this season
Today was terrible but we'll be fine

L.A with a healthy Bynum will dominate the Spurs. TD plays like shit against him.

My issue is where was the fight from TD today? Weak ass shots from him in the post, playing soft.. He is not why we lost but WTF Tim??
i'm not one to jump off cliffs but the lakers have proved they are the better team. lakers thoroughly out played the spurs in game 2 but the spurs managed to pull it out on a fluke put back. now they are winning by 30. these aren't flukes. they are simply better. they have better size and defense and the spurs need to hit at a high rate in the playoffs to beat them. i don't really see that happening since the pressure will be higher and the game will be tougher.
Spurs won't lose this bad in the playoffs. L.A. won't shoot this well. Still, we are going to lose the rebound battle, which will ultimately cost us the war.
To beat L.A. in 7 games, you must outrebound them.
We'll be alright.
The only thing we can take from this loss is that the Lakers are here to stay. To be the best you got to beat the best, when it matters.
It's just the regular season.

No doubt the Spurs will bounce back and I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Spurs win the championship. Every team has at least one awful, disgraceful game during an 82 game season, much less coming off a record setting 30 point home win and playing an early Sunday game. No excuses, the Lakers dominated. But the Spurs also couldn't get anything to fall early when they got buried. You move on and that's that. Let's see how the Spurs do the rest of the regular season.
I'm hoping that this game will light a huge fire under their behinds to get them to fight hard to secure that top seed and hopefully the Spurs will be ready for that fourth and final regular season matchup in LA.
Having said all that, this was just a disgraceful performance, but it happens. The Spurs deserve a pass on this one considering the season they've been having, but let's just see what happens.

Let's just worry about one game at a time. Blow outs happen. But as long as the Spurs maintain HCA, I like their chances.
Both LA and the Spurs have to take care of business before they meet up with eachother. Yes, Spurs will have a problem rebounding but they are not going to shoot like shit all 4 games and LA is not going to shoot as good all 4 games either.

I've been making excuses for Duncan for so long because he's done so much for this team in previous years, but I'm starting to be really disappointed in him and his game. He's really sucking bad and doesn't seem to be an efficient option on offense anymore. I really have no confidence in him on the offensive end anymore I mean he passes really well and all, but he just doesn't seem to be able to get any consistent offense. WTF how could he decline so much? Omg...dare I say it... Duncan sucks now.....
Oh well, he's done enough in his career to still be my favorite player, but....c'mon i think he's gotta nut up and get it together, he's gotta have more left in the tank than he's showing....

Today hopefully proved to the Spurs that you can't just show up with the best record and expect other teams to cower. Hate to lose to the Lakers, but this loss could actually be a blessing in disguise.

Mainly just the 1st quarter. Spurs outscored L.A. in the second half compared to L.A. in the first half.
We got another shot to go 3-1 at Lakers on April 12th.

Not really. Jackson has stated prior to the season that the Lakers are the best team in the league. Jackson respects the Spurs and has giving props to the Spurs before.

Spurs can't beat the Lakers playing a half-court game. It's a fact. Run on their asses and they've got a shot. The trend in this series against Lakers, with the Spurs running less and less, is not a good sign.

The spurs just got waxed on their homecourt. HCA will not matter against the Lakers. The lakers are the better team if all players are healthy. Their size advantage causes big concerns for the Spurs.
The poor shooting was a result of tougher laker defense than what the spurs saw the game before. Thats the type of defense they will see in the playoffs. There were not as many open 3 pointer looks as they saw in the Miami game. The Lakers did a good job of stopping the penetrating of Parker and Manu.

I'm not worried, just a little disappointed. It's way too easy to overreact to one game. The Spurs are neither as good as they looked against Miami or as bad as they looked this afternoon.

Lakers outplayed the Spurs in Game 2? Bullshit we were winning most of the game until the Gaso free throws. You might as well jump off that cliff.

Yeah we dominated the first game, game 2, we controlled most of the way and almost choked it away.
However, I do think the Lakers showed they are still the favorites and their matchup advantages over us are pretty damn imposing.
