All this game means is that the Spurs are now 51 and 12 and the lakers are 45and 19. Anything else is pure speculation and opinion.

No matter what - the playoffs will settle the speculations and everyone's theories will have to wait until then.

Spurs are still Boss. They got leveled tonight but my gut tells me it is for the good. LA will lose. When it counts most. Phil retires a loser. Spurs win number 5. Now thats the perfect scenario.

Just remember the 2005 Finals against Detroit...The Spurs lost Game 3 by 17 and Game 4 by 31 only to take the series...

LAL fan makes it seems as if they NEVER suffered a blowout loss to the Spurs.
97-82 Spurs Beat LAL 12-1-10

Spurs up 2-1 in the season series and homecourt throughout the playoffs. I'm cool with that.
Perspective, it's SPAM time, and usually around this time, the team starts to coalesce after a trying schedule to that point. 50-12 is unreal, and while the streak of home W's stop at 22, losing it doesn't ensure that the LAL will win everytime they come to ATT. They don't and while LAL fan wants us to think that may be the case, if someone actually counted all the Wins and losses between both teams, since the 98-99 season, for regular season and playoffs, one would find the tally stands at 39 wins and 39 losses.

It's a toss-up of what can happen. It's an outlier game to me, like the Heat W. Teams don't always start that hot. If it was a switch that could be turned on, then the Spurs would've kept it on for this game too.
I expect for ATL to win that next game the LAL plays, because, as I've said, you can't simply stay that hot.

Congrats to the Lakers and their fans on today's playoff win. They came out desperate to remain relevant.

Funny how a regular season game suddenly means so much to them and their fans as soon as they're on the winning side of it.

Unless the Spurs go into the playoffs down 0-1 to the Lakers, this is exactly what I said it was. The Lakers were scared shitless of getting run out of the building like Miami was, and they were amped up for it. Congrats to them, it was certainly a great performance and they were the better team today. They gained a game in the standings and are still in third place. If a two time defending champ needs a game like this to get their confidence back then all the talk about being the best team this season or the Spurs being old and done was just bluster. I guess the Spurs haven't been under everyone's radar this season if they're the benchmark for whether the Lakers are playoff ready.

I can't believe that a Blazer fan has over 21,000 posts here. Do you earn a wage doing this? It would seem that you might find better applications for your time.

Probably 15000+ of his posts are after the Spurs lose a game or suffer an injury.
