They usually take every single precaution available when something like this happens, so it's probably not as bad as it looks. Still, hope he's OK.

As much as we like to rag on CP3 for his flopping, he's still a better than decent human being.

Prayers go out to him and his family. Hope it's just a neck strain/concussion and he's back on the court soon.

Listen to me... those people were used to those conditions. Some of them were better off.

Maybe in some of the poor parts of New Orleans, but not in the suburbs or on the Mississippi Gulf Coast which are much nicer. Those people lost all their homes as well. Those areas recovered somewhat, but still not fully populated as before.

NBA mulling formal concussion policy (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-nbaconcussions)
By Colin Fly

The NBA says it is consulting with an independent neurologist about establishing a league-wide protocol to handle concussions.

Currently, each team decides how to treat concussions and when a player can return to play. An NBA spokesman said Tuesday that officials are discussing a formal set of steps that would cover all players.

Such a move would bring the NBA in line with the NFL and NHL.

In the last four weeks, at least six NBA players have missed games because of concussions or concussion-like symptoms. Hornets point guard Chris Paul was taken off the floor on a stretcher on Sunday night and his return is day to day.

Paul returns to practice, not yet cleared to play (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-hornets-paul)

Chris Paul is practicing again for the first time since the New Orleans Hornets All-Star guard was diagnosed with a mild concussion last Sunday.

Paul participated fully in Thursday’s practice, which consisted only of non-contact drills and shooting. As practice wrapped up, Paul spent extra time shooting free throws and 3-pointers and even made a trick shot from behind the backboard.

Hornets coach Monty Williams says Paul has not yet been cleared to play in games, but that could change on Friday when Paul is scheduled for his next neurological exam.

Paul has missed two game since his hard collision with Cleveland’s Ramon Sessions last Sunday night. The Hornets next game is at home Saturday night against Sacramento.
