sons should some type of professional playing OR coaching experience be required for those being selected to be the commissioner of the NBA? (or any other sport at that matter).. I mean just look at the current big 3 (Stern, Selig, and Goodell) .... not one of them has any damn clue what it's like to play or coach professional sports, yet they make all of the important decisions. I mean seriously the current hiring standards for commissioners is just like hiring a white boy from Alabama to run the Apollo Theater in Harlem.

I think Stern has done a wonderful job as the NBA's commish, so I have no problem with a commissioner having little to no experience as a player/coach. In fact, I think I prefer it.

Not really. Being commish is an executive position. Basically need an executive type of person. Stern's time is up. He had a good run, but basically created a players league and now is trying to change it when it was his creation in the first place.

By no means am I throwing the idea out there that you should go through with the act of suicide, but if the possibility of ending your life has ever crossed your mind, you should do us all a favor and seriously consider/ponder following through with it in the very near future.

your opinion is a shit sandwich and reeks of hackery, you siccophant
i said this
"I'm in no way, shape, or form suggesting you commit suicide or anything that bares any sort of resemblance of the former, but any sort of thought of an action/plan that would encourage the termination or ending of your life should strongly be considered/taken into account/formulated/contemplated in the not so distant future."
That's not the same thing.
Doesn't that make sense to you or is your brain that dumb that you can't even get that?

what else would anyone expect from a poster with such a generic name as 'nashfan'?

You win.
A similar principal applies when predicting Cowboy games; I won't take a win in Indianopolis for granted next year because we had a good run back in the '90's.

Certain about what?
first of all, you sound like the guy who shot john lennon with all this "he is my leader" bullshit. how old are you?
second of all, is the "siccophants" thing all you got? i have misspelled easier words than that and very while might do so in the future, so keep looking out for that so you can crush me even harder. i am very sensitive about such personal matters as my ability to correctly spell SAT-vocab words on the fly. ...that stuff ain't just lame message board shit talking, it really hits home (on top of being really, really, funny!)
thats all for now,
pussyface.
ps: who would you rather get fucked by, gordon keith on ktck or leo dicaprio in 'titanic'?

"tries to pass himself off as some sort of ultra-intellectual"
??? I give my opinions in no uncertain terms just like any number of other posters here. claiming 'ultra-intellectual' status? you are basing this on nothing other than, apparently, as a complement to my writing and reasoning abilities. if they come across as 'ultra-intellectual' it is only on the merit of my writing and ideas, not by some self-proclomation. Thanks for the kind words.

anyone with league pass has automatic access to watch all games on NBA.com broadband.
this is definitely a longshot, but im wondering if any good sweet clean spurstalk user would be willing to PM me with sign on info for NBA broadband at NBA.com .
I'm in Med School in New Orleans and can't catch the game anywhere; I typically watch games online using that program called TVU, but tonight's game evidently is unavailable.
From what I understand, you can change yr login information in the future so as to make this a one-night only event.
As a wise person once said, "practice random acts of kindness" (Oprah?)
Any assistance greatly appreciated...I might be able to compensate in some way, PM me for details. Anyone looking to score some karma points out there? My Mavericks pants are going crazy right now.

I nearly choked to death reading that and eating at the same time.
By wonderful do you mean "fucking horrible"?
Unless he is somehow magically responsible for creating Jordan/Bird/Magic, the NBA would have been run into the ground years ago by Stern.
