Something I noticed this year in the NBA standings page:

TIEBREAKER BASIS:
(-) Tie breaker not needed (better overall winning percentage)
(1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division
(2) Head-to-head won-lost percentage
(3) Division won-lost percentage
(4) Conference won-lost percentage
(5) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, own conference
(6) W-L Percentage vs. Playoff teams, other conference
(7) Net Points, all games

You've already lost the tiebreaker to the Lakers. You can win the last two games of the season, but if you fall back into a tie, LA gets the 2 seed.

No pressure.

If the Mavs win the season series over the Lakers, LA would not finish ahead of Dallas if they tied.

I think ChuckD needs to take a little break from the internets.

Uh, no. He's a shooter, but the speed and power of the NBA might even make that hard for him to get off quickly. He's going to break down NO ONE off the dribble. JJ Reddick was a premium college shooter, and he struggled mightily for 2 years to make his place in Orlando. Jimmer won't even have the advantage of Reddick's height.

Fredette's ceiling is competent rotation guard.

lol comparing Jimmer Fredette to JJ Reddick

Funny that they have it listed two different ways. The top section definitely has the division winner taking ALL ties, no matter what else is in play. Wouldn't surprise me if it's not yet another attempt for the league to pave the Lakers way.

Just pick your face up and move on Chuck. Don't reply, because I'm in the thread now and it could easily become a 10-pager.

What's the difference between me and you?

People will argue with you for pages on end because they think you're just as dumb as they are, even dumber, and therefore try their best to win the argument.

People argue with me for a page at most and give up, because they know they're being assraped by a superior intelligence.

H2H will decide it since they have a odd number of meetings(3) and if I am correct Dallas won 1st one in Dallas, that was the game where Kidd was raining 3's

Either Dallas fandom melts down, or the Lakers have another road round.

I guess the Mavs announcers are full of shit, too. They mentioned it late in the 4th.
