I agree if Miami was elite they would probably win.

My feelings are that Miami has a better chance at winning then I would like given their current two streaks, but its either going to be a blowout in favor of the Lakers or come down to the wire for either team. To bad Miami sucks at closing games or I would give them the nod on a close game.

I have a feeling Miami will win, but I'll settle for a 1-1 finish to this roadtrip. I've already seen enough to assuage my suspicions that they were coasting earlier this year.

LeBron surely is going to come out firing. He likes to drop his best performances during these "personal games".

Artest and Phil have provided more fire by mocking Heat players for crying. Let's see how the el Heat respond.

Kobe doing damage control on mocking the Heat:

"Everybody responds differently," Lakers guard Kobe Bryant told the "Max and Marcellus" radio show on 710 ESPN in Los Angeles. "If guys are crying in the locker room, guys are crying in the locker room. That doesn't mean they're chumps. That doesn't mean they're soft. It doesn't mean anything."

The game is nationally televised which means Lebron will show the world who's king by taking a giant dump on the Lakers. Lebron and his streak of nationally televised triple doubles will be on the line. He'll show the whole world that you can't blame Lebron for the Heat's trouble's. Oh, as for the game, Lakers by 20.

You just know the Heat are due to finally win a game. That and I don't think anyone on the Lakers can defend Wade or LeBron 1 on 1....not even Artest. He got lit up on Christmas Day. But as we saw tonight, LeBron and Wade can only due so much...Bosh and the role players need to step up in order for the Heat to win this game...

I expect better than that from you...:lol It appears in your quest to seem fair and balanced you're being a Lazy ass this morning...think about it...Miami is in NO position to be given the benefit of the doubt for a blow-out...even with their losing streak...The Portland loss was no fluke...maybe against a sub .500 team but not a team they caught off gaurd on X-Mas day without our Big man and is now seeking revenge...and not a team that's mentally preparing themselves for the final descent to 3 peat...even if Miami is motivated it won't be enough as essentially you have two motivated teams...So if you think about it logically, in that scenario if a blow-out was to happen you'd have initially swing the pendulum to LA's side....:toast...there's no coin tossing...perhaps on a win but certainly not a blow-out on Miami's side...THE SHIT JUST AIN'T HAPPENING....:lmao

Both teams are going to be motivated. The loser is going to be highly criticized. Maybe Miami wants to tank this to get Spo fired. Maybe Lakers want it so bad they will fold. Maybe Miami will win it and close out the regular season winning most their games.

It's the kind of game every gambler should stay away from, there are many safer bets to be made. But hey, anyone can make a prediction, I can too, but I can't predict this game, too many variables. Now, if this was the NBA finals and these two teams meet I would pick the Lakers to win the series. This game? Go ahead, bet your life savings on whoever, and best of luck.

This will be one of the few times you'll see me hoping that punkass, flailing, screaming, ref-coddled, pussified Lakers team win a game. Miami is looking for a turning point and I don't want the Heat recovering to surge to 1st or 2nd seed in the East with a big win over the Lakers. I want LA to kick'em in the teeth while they're down. And I also want to see a Heat/Knicks first round matchup. I think a good ass-whoopin tonight secures Miami's place as the 3rd seed.

Not scared but expect a loss due to the game meaning more to the HEAT ...meant more last time and it means more now.

Sure Lakers can cathc Dallas with a win tonight and Saturday ...but Lakers know there is plenty of time to catch Mavs and even if they lose tonight and Mavs win a victory Saturday puts us in perfect position to catch them before season's end ...

Besides Cavs and heat routinely gave us trouble so why shouldnt the Superfriends?

Only way we win if Kobe and Bynum dominate and Kobe works the ball to to the big men AND ALSO gets some against Wade ...

Lakers’ Jackson ‘not a fan’ of Heat style (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-heat-jacksonspeaks)
By Tim Reynolds

Phil Jackson has another thought on the Miami Heat: He doesn’t like how they play.

Speaking Thursday before his Los Angeles Lakers visited Miami, Jackson likened the way the Heat play to an Xbox video game and said they rely too much on 1-on-1 basketball.

“I’m not a big fan of the style that Miami plays,” Jackson said. “I like to see everybody involved in the game.”

It was just the latest public statement from Jackson on the Heat, a list that includes how their roster was assembled last summer and Heat coach Erik Spoelstra saying Miami had some players “crying” in the locker room after a loss to Chicago earlier this week.

Jackson also questioned Spoelstra’s job security earlier this year, then quickly apologized for that remark.

“He’s doing a good job,” said Jackson, a winner of 11 NBA titles as a coach, including the last two with the Lakers. “He’s going to be fine.”

Asked Thursday if he took interest in how Miami was coming together as a team, especially with all the interest in how LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh came together last summer, Jackson paused for a brief moment.

He said he enjoys watching teams like San Antonio and Boston and the styles those teams play.

The Heat? Not so much, especially since there are long stretches where most of Miami’s offense revolves around two or three players at the most, instead of the get-everyone-involved-when-possible approach Jackson prefers.

“I think that’s really important to basketball,” Jackson said. “That’s what I’m trying to preach as a basketball coach, even though we have a guy that dominates the ball in Kobe (Bryant). Their basketball is very much standing with Xbox games or whatever those games are. Basketball’s not a 1-on-1 game. It’s a team game.”

He’s hardly the first to suggest that the Heat rely too heavily on James and Wade, who came into Thursday ranked second and fourth respectively in the league scoring stats.

After that, the Heat offensive consistency has been inconsistency, something Bosh and other Miami players have acknowledged as a problem.

“I don’t really care what people say about us, personally,” Wade said earlier Thursday, a few hours before Jackson spoke.

Miami came into Thursday on a five-game slide. The Lakers started the day as the NBA’s hottest team, winners of eight straight.
