8 of 21 ... is anyone really surprised? the dude has to shoot the ball 21 times in order to score 24 points. funny how whenever the refs aren't sending him to the line 15 times he can't do shit.

back to back and Kobe wasn't even the clear cut best player on the damn team either year lol
plain and simple ... Kobe Bryant is the best example of a media created super star. The NBA was desperate for another "Jordan" so they pushed Kobe to the top by inflating his scoring numbers with ridiculous calls and hyping him up far more than he deserves. Kobe is, has been, and always will be nothing more than a glorified Paul Pierce. Damn good player, but that's about it. NOTHING "Great"

lol son ya gotta love all these true Laker "fans" ... I see them all the time around here. people who have absolutely NO connection to the team or city of L.A. or hell even no connections to the state of California, yet they are somehow still fans of a team that is located thousands of miles away from where they live. some people just want to be a front runner plain and simple. it makes them feel better about themselves.

Yep, these are our days of glory. Bryant's individual goals are being achieved and with those accomplishments come our deliverance. Is it the same as when Magic took us there in the '80's? No. [[[But, it's as good as it can get.]]] Every hater thought in the black of their nights that these days would never happen, that Bryant would be denied his confirmation out of the shadow of Daddy. Bryant though proved these haters & doubters to be shockingly mistaken. There was no crescendo via Media for Kobe's comprehensive solution, just as there was none when Magic delivered us out of our darkness in the Summer of '85. Then it was the liberation of our Laker Brothers, young & old, living & passed, and the ones yet to conceive. That was Magic Johnson. Magic liberated us then, as Bryant liberated himself these past 2 years.
On the Championship dais Bryant took his vengeance last June when he called out Daddy on the count. That moment, Kobe's moment, was our finest hour...

Yep, that's why these two championships are near surreal because most of us (definitely me) thought it would never transpire. That he would be denied and driven near mad with the denial, and us as well as we sided him in our collective angst.
What happened is Media never told the story. Because they wrote the story early on (after Daddy's/Phil's departure & Colorado) and the resultant reality of the first ring in '09 and the confirmation in '10 did not fit the story they'd written.
Smighting Media is satisfying beyond description.

BR full of shit. Check this out (http://i52.tinypic.com/aayz9f.jpg). This is a microcosm of how referees affect Kobe's shooting percentages. If they call obvious fouls like this and he misses - it doesn't go against his shooting percentages.
