Kenny the Suns were the best team in 07! He said they had the best team and if not for suspensions they win that series as they were up 3-2! When the f were they up 3-2 on us? I remember us blowing game 4 when we had a good lead to get to 2-2 then suspensions, but the Suns were never up in that series! I hate when idiots get stuff wrong on TV and most watching will hear it and believe it too! Charles said they were never gonna beat the Spurs, NEVER! Finally I agree with sir Charles this year!

Who else caught this here? I heard it and nearly lost it when he said that, is out of his mind? We were up 3-2 after that suspension game, and won the last one in fashion for a 4-2 series! Spurs were always in control of that series there, period. They blew that game 4 in choking fashion and should have been up 3-1, yes with Amare and them in there. I am sick of that stupid discussion there.

The game where the Suns 'got over the hump,' finally winning in San Antonio was the result of the refs saddling Duncan with 3 bad fouls (out of 5, I think), a couple of which should have gone the other way. It's not just my opinion on that, the national announcers said after each of the calls 'that was a bad call.' While Duncan was sitting on the bench, the Suns 'magically' cut into our lead and took the game. This only tied the series 2-2.

Horry was suspended for 2 games; game 6 in San Antonio, even without a key role player, we were blowing them out (I remember the crestfallen announcer saying '...and the Suns ...are getting blown out.'). Nash hit some last-second 3's to make the score less embarrassing when the Spurs took their collective foot off the gas, but we still eliminated them while missing one of our key role players, and took the series 4-2.

Nash has since admitted he 'flopped a bit;' he was essentially responsible for the ejection of Stoudamire. Even if they had Stoudamire, they don't necessarily win game 6 (the Spurs came out flat, partly the result of the fiasco of the suspension). I don't see how anyone can complain that they should have won the series when they lost 4-2. 4-3, and maybe they have a little room to complain they might have won, but not 4-2. It's the closest most members of that team will ever get to a championship though, so it's to be expected.

Kenny is just being kind to sun fan. He knows they will never have a ring so why not let them keep their excuse.

They had Stout in game 6, he missed game 5, the game they got beat out badly when Nash hit those threes to make it respectable he is in there! He was there for game 6 and they got blown out side the later score! Which is why I wonder in why they came back and won in game 4 in a miracle and game 6 when Stouth was in there and they lost why they think they would have won that series? I don't get it ? They were never ahead in that series nor near it IMO! Spurs choked game 4, sides that we had it.

the refs swallowed their whistles in favor of the suns at the end so they could tie the series in game 4. Horry got angry and bumped Nash a little bit. Stoudemire and Boris Diaw were not disciplined enough to control their emotions.

IIRC in the last four or five minutes of game four, after SA built a lead of around ten points, the Suns were allowed to play defense with their hands and poke and hack the ball away where they got a number of turnovers. I forgot about TD being in foul trouble.

That series should have ended in five.

Eh. Not a big deal.

Record books have Spurs as 2007 champs.

Kenny is a retard

Before the game yesterday, Chuck said that Wade should take games over in crunch time

Kenny said it should be Lebron, with no convincing argument...

I'm sure Kenny felt stupid after the game, because Wade delivered late in the game vs the Lakers

If you don't think there was a solid chance Suns beat the Spurs without those gay suspensions, you are a blind homer.

Yeah, I meant to say game 5 was the game Stoudamire was suspended for. Nash hit some 3's in game 6 to make the score more respectable though; it was more of a blowout (with all of their people present and one of ours missing) before he did.

I don't know how to embed the video here, but the part about the flop is about 1:40 into the clip.

The Suns were full-strength for game six and got the shit kicked out of them by a short-handed Spurs team.

They were robbed of a full 7 game series because some players took too many steps to the right in this joke of a league. That's all there is to it. I don't care about Suns fan, but it is what it is.

You're assuming they would have won game 5 with Stoudamire. The Spurs had already beaten them once in Phoenix, they could have done it again. They had their chance to push it to 7 games with their full squad (while the Spurs were short a key role player) and they couldn't do it, because they were the inferior team.

without the suspensions, the Spurs still probably beat the suns in 7 games. The league did SunFan a favor by not having the spurs close them out in a Game 7 on their floor. :lol

Ehhhhhh I guess it was possible if the stars aligned, which they were not going to and the Suns were not going to beat the Spurs who were in control of that series from game one IMO. I watched game 4, Spurs blew that there and should have been up 3-1, Suns were not in control of that series.

Wrong again, and ridiculously so. Both of them ran past their coach into the scrum, and Amare knew he was in trouble, because he lied about it in the press conference, saying he was just going to the scorers table to check in. This is not a Patrick Ewing where someone stepped over the line onto the floor, as the NBA amended the rule after he was suspended. These are rules that every team knows, and that have been in place for years. What the Suns and their fans wanted was for the NBA to overlook the rules just for them or to change them on the fly.

Nobody can claim that they had a chance to win the series when they wanted the league to cheat for them and then couldn't pull out a must-win game against a shorthanded opponent.

YEP! THE RIVARLY WAS FUN! Last year they swept us and this year we are better than last year easily IMO, so why not one more year of it in the playoffs? We could use one more go round, but not gonna happen again.

This would be a fun series this year IMO, too bad J RICH is gone, Amare and Dragic, damn idiot owner.

If they were robbed, they held the gun to their own heads. They had both suspended players back, were at home, and still fumbled away game 6. THAT'S why they were never winning the series.

BTW, none of the owners voted to change the leaving the bench rule after the season, even Robert Sarver. For all the whining about being "robbed", nobody changed it.

That's probably because most, if not all of them remember those awful Heat/Knicks series of the 90s that always seemed to devolve into hockey games, complete with fights, goons, and enforcers. No one wants that, and if players forget, they sit.

Exactly. When it comes right down to it, it's a great rule, and it's in place to prevent guys like Amare and Diaw from doing what they did.
