Congrats, Tony.

I have a hard time picking even Manu over Tony as the Spurs' MVP this season.

When he leaves the game and George Hill comes in as pg, the ball stagnates and the offense becomes one-on-one. I wish Pop would get on Hill's case about running the offense efficiently more.

If Parker gets hurt in the playoffs, we will go down. And I fear that all the other teams know that, and somebody on one of the teams is going to be assigned to take him out.

Kind of like Manu last year...once he was gone, we were gone. (I know he wasn't on the bench but he never really got over that broken nose).

He's incredible. And he's a free agent, too.

Funny, because I doubt even Tony's biggest supporters would think this was any kind of a special week for him.

It must have been the 4 blocks in one game and the fact that they needed another Euro-winner. :smokin

It certainly wasn't the level of competition.

It's that kind of shit logic that got Steve Nash two MVP awards he doesn't deserve. The "my backup sucks" argument shouldn't carry any weight.

The Spurs' fortunes in the playoffs have followed Parker more than anyone else since 2001.

That's because Tony is ths Spurs best player. Tony is our MVP.

Well deserved recognition. Parker has been the main reason we're still winning games. The guy is so underrated even by his own fans.

Yes, originally. Then the Spurs realized that they probably overpaid for an aging point guard who's best attribute was probabaly in decline. But they got lucky because the signatures on the contract weren't notarized so the deal was negated.

I'm pretty sure this is false. I haven't read anything like this anywhere until now.

Please don't post nonsense like this. Some people will believe it.

There. A Spur getting respect.

This should appease the "we get no respect" crowd for at least 5 minutes.

When I read wontstartdumbthreads (http://spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=20061) post I thought of it as a fail funny thread.

People would believe that the Spurs suddenly realized Tony was old and his prime past him and all that crap in his post?

How naive do you have to be?

Nope. He has 2 blocks for the season :lol
Wade had 4 blocks in a game this week.

Anyway, props to TP. Not his best week of the year at all but I think he will take it :toast

Congrats Tony!

and yes, quite unexpected, but even if his numbers aren't impressive he is clearly the steadiest performer of the team since the start of the season.

“He did nothing different this week,” Ginobili said. “Tony’s been huge for us every week, for the whole season.”

TP and Dice seemed to be the only ones who cared. The rest of the team sucked ass....:td

He was 2/2 on 3pters yesterday, I don't understand why the team/pop didn't exploit that...

This should have been a night where TP should have been our go to guy...
